  1. hello fellow patriots. Im looking to for some clarity of my smc-L for aid and attendance claim. I just had a higher level review officer hearing and was told i need not a combine 100% rating which i have but that i need a single disability to be rated at 100%. when reading the cfr i dont see that. the officer said i would qualify because of my need for aid and attendance is clear since ive been in the caregiver program for last 8 years but that i needed a single disability at 100%. is this correct? thank you guys and gals!
  2. thank you all for your advice...I really do need help and will turn myself in to mental health. Im not safe to anyone specially myself but im truely a nice guy i just cant bare the chronic pain 24hr a day and i feel useless to my family specially my 8 yr old daugther who i can carry or play with or even enjoy because i am in such a nasty mood. i wanna be normal one day again like i use to be because im a hard worker thats been holding a good job since i got discharge and dont wanna to give up but im really on my last days right on the edge of destruction. its devastating think of intentionally driving off the road and killing myself so at least i dont look like a coward hanging my self but god knows whats in store for me. good night
  3. im 10% right wrist 20% right shoulder 20% left shoulder 50% anxiety/depression and im horribly struggling at work with chronic pain and extreme anxiety and depression with constant thoughts of suicide. should i put in for unemploybility...
  4. Melanied stay strong and wish u the best in health! I'm a Iraqi freedom vet also suffering from anxiety/depression and I know how hard it is at work to be getting panic attacks but remember to request reasonable accommodations for your disability to prevent any unfair treatment.
  5. My Va phsyc had taken me out of work under FMLA once before for 3 months for my mental health issue but now that in not work I guess I have to get him to write a letter about me not being employable due to conditions and meds currently on Prozac, trazadone, buspar.
  6. Great info Berta!! Let's hope my claim doesn't turn into a battle. After my friend committed suicide life changed for me and I was admitted to a military mental health ward for about 2 weeks for major depression and after transferred to an inpatient alcohol abuse program at naval station Norfolk which I was discharged for not complying.I was still battling depression and was not on meds to help do I self medicated with drinking and as a result got discharged HONORABLE for alcohol rehabilitation program failure.
  7. Ive thought about it Pete but I believe I don't meet the percentage requirements needed to apply for TDIU. Thanks for the well wishes! Have a great day!
  8. I'm currently rated at a combine rating of 60% and 30% for anxiety/depression. I submitted a claim for alcoholism secondary to mental health issues and had my C&P exam last Wednesday which I think it went well since doctor seem to be understanding and caring enough to tell me to get into the VA substance abuse program and also recommended I fill out application for domicillary housing since I'm unstable from house to house. He was also the same doc who did exam for my initial 30% for anxiety/depression. Hope it all goes well!
