  1. Thank you for your reply. Yes SSA and VA do “talk” now so they did away with the yearly letter this year actually. No, I never hide anything from the VA. The little jobs I have had here and there are all above board and I pay taxes so they are reported etc....Thank you again. Happy Holidays.
  2. Hello and thank you for reading. I am rated at 90% but get 100% TDIU. I have worked off and on jobs that aren’t anywhere close to meeting that poverty thresh hold amount. I enjoy working but with my disabilities I just can’t be around alot of people and I end up running out of the place in tears. Anyways my question is does anyone work a little on TDIU? What encounters have you had with VA about it? Thank you so much.
  3. Did you ever work on TDIU? Of course making under poverty level? Just would like to know someone who actually did have here and there jobs on TDIU. Thank you
  4. Hello. I was 90% I got fired from my job because issues related from my mental illness. I applied for IU and got it (permanent). Well my work (union) caught wind that I'm a disabled veteran and asked me if I want to come back. Since I've been at home I began to feel worse. Long story short i feel it would be in my benefit mentally and financially to return to work. Question is.....I know I will no longer receive 100% but if I return to work will I lose everything or will I go back to original 90% ? Thank you very much.
  5. I'm sorry if I sound really ingorant but cola? For SC?
  6. I get mine direct deposited on the 1st of every month unless it falls on a Sat or Sunday but I'm wondering since Jan 1 is a holiday will it be deposited Dec. 31st (or is that considered a holiday) or the Jan 2. Thanks
  7. Hi. What day will we receive our monthly benefit if we have direct deposit, since Jan. 1 is a Holiday. Thanks
  8. I wish I could do this in a poll fashion but this will have to do. How long was your claim at rating board? TIA
  9. HI everyone. I found out through iris that my claim is at the rating board. Does anyone know how long it will SIT there and collect dust, lol? Also it's a new claim for PTSD but I already got SC for depression/anxiety, I'm thinking this claim will be denied becuase of that. Any thoughts??? Thanks so much.
  10. Hi, I too am trying to get the VA to reimburse for medical payments/co-pays. When I find something out Monday I'll let you know what they say about it and I'll ask where it can be found in writing. That's great you got awarded SC for Chiari Malformation. I did a small research project on that and other birth defects in babies. Are you ok now? Hope so.
  11. C'mom....no one knows? ;) I asked some fellow vets at work and they too want to know. :o Thanks
  12. Hi, my last claim I did was last year. It took almost a year to be awarded 60% SC. During that time I saw a civilian Dr. for the exact same thing I am now awarded for. I heard somwhere and or from someone that I can get a refund for the copays I had to pay before I was able to receive care at VA clinic. IS that true? If so how do I go about it? Thanks!
  13. I received my disabled vet plates today. I'm not trying to sound greedy at all but when I filled out the form I put down both of our cars, since I drive both and they both are in my name. Will those come at a later time? My registration is already due and and I don't want to get a ticket but I don't want to pay to get the other car registered and then the plates come in. Any experience in this anybody? Thanks so much.
  14. Hi, I was wondering what everyone thought of REGISTERED CHILD sex offenders getting the same treatment (compensation, meds, healthcare, etc...)as those of us who are not.....well to put it lighlty......a disgusting scum of the earth piece of S#&@ that deserves to burn in hell forever type person:angry: Thank you for your input.
