  2. I don't know but I give you permission to use my code which is SAVE2. I believe they just want more sales. pr
  3. Wings and everyone: because I've purchased a few of these, for old buddies from my unit, as gifts, I get a 20% discount. When you go to their site and order it you should type SAVE2 in the promo or discount box and it should drop the purchase price 20%. pr
  4. Yup, well worth the money!!! Hope you got the discount. pr
  5. I'm not sure but Seattle may be the regional AMC, for the VA's western region. You should get a decision from Reno, eventually, and if their decision disagrees w/the BVA it should be returned to the BVA, because I believe the BVA continues to control the case at this point. jmo pr
  6. You need to purchase a copy of the Veterans Benefit Manual(VBM). I know it's sort of expensive but what's a 100+dollars vs $2600+ a month. You need the chapter on attempts to reduce. I've done a few of these and always used the theory that the best defense is an attack. We went after an EED and the VA gave up. Just my thoughts but I still think you're safe. Since you are receiving so much advice, I'm backing off. Good luck!!! pr
  7. You should also purchase a copy of the Veterans Benefit Manual from LexisNexis. If you put SAVE2 in the promo code area you should get a 20% discount. That goes for anyone. http://www.lexisnexis.com/veteranslaw/maninfo.asp pr
  8. CUE is a clear and unmistakable error. The VA needs to follow strict rules to reduce someone who is 100% and it is difficult to do, if done properly. You get a copy of your C-file at the VA Regional Office(VARO), where your claim is handled. Not working since 11/06 is good evidence. pr
  9. I think you are pretty safe for now. Unless the VA calls a CUE on themselves, in awarding you the 100% for PTSD, it's hard for them to "legally" reduce you. Let's wait and see what the letter/proposal to reduce states. In the mean time, I'd go to the VA Medical Center's ROI office and get copies of your C&P exam results, all of them. Additionally, for now, I'd curtail any unnecessary spending, just in case the VA violates it's rules and does reduce. You can forstall it about 120 days, if it comes to that, which I doubt. You need to get a complete copy of your c-file, if you don't already have one, ASAP. When did you last work steadily?? pr
  10. Couple of questions: 1.) how old are you? 2.) what are your s/c ratings and percentages? 3.) how long have you had the PTSD diagnosis/rating? Thnx. pr
  11. I can't remember which regulation it is but it's been posted here and it states something to the effect that a veteran is to be considered P&T if they are receiving payments/compensation from the secretary/dept of Health and Welfare(SSDI). pr
  12. Morning reports and unit rosters are kept at the National Personnel Record Center, in St Louis, MO. pr
  13. In reality I see no benefit in using a VSO. All I have met have been the laziest and useless individuals I've ever seen. They take up space. Carla answered the other part of your question. jmo pr
  14. No!!!! Just my thoughts. I was found P&T disabled by my life insurance company and granted a waiver of premium, back in the early 70's and have worked since then. Just because one says you are, doesn't mean the other will. jmo but a fact. pr
  15. Just curious, how does that make you 100% schedular? What are the other percentages? pr
  16. Forgot to mention, it's "Cavalry" - Calvary is in Canada and also has some biblical reference. The news media and Hollywood often mispronounce it Calvary also. pr
  17. I did a search on the 478th and found where it it looks like it was part the 229th ASH, 1st Cav Div, in VN.
  18. Just curious: What Cav, in 1969?? The 1st Cav colors were reassigned to Ft Benning, GA, on 7/1/65 and the 2nd Division colors reassigned to Korea. The 1st Cav departed GA, shipping from Savannah, enroute to Viet Nam and arriving in VN in September, 1965, and remained there until 1971, when the final brigade returned to CONUS. pr
  19. I, personally, don't remember. I believe, at one time, Monsanto was owned by Dow, but I'm not sure. I know I received about $2500, over 3 yrs, from the settlement, because I was rated 30%, at the time, by the VA. I eventually was awarded 100%, retroactive to day one, but by then the settlement was done and the VA's delay cost me about $9500 in settlement money, which is partially why I still go after them today. pr
  20. Why don't you pursue an SSDI claim w/a 2005 disability date?? Did you have enough credits in 2005? pr
  21. TS - Yes, anytime you move your c-file to another VARO, they can, and generally do, review your c-file, even if you are TDIU, w/P&T or 100% schedular, w/P&T. They can schedule you for new C&P exams under the pretense that your condition may have worsened. As I stated earlier, you can move and leave your claim in your old state but if you need to attend any more C&P's you'll need to return to your old state, at your expense. pr
  22. Ricky - they can only move your file if you request it be moved. He can leave it in FL but he will have to travel there for C&P's, if required, and they won't give travel pay from out of state. pr
  23. Ryan H. - I believe this verifies your stressor(s). You can bring a copy to the C&P but don't allow the original to leave your sight. I don't think this will make any difference for or at your C&P but will help with the service center's decision as to service connection. It certainly verifies your stressor. They may still request statements as to what happened in particular incidents. Are they calling your diagnosis "anxiety disorder" or "PTSD?" pr
  24. Do you have any stars?? As I read it(and I may be wrong) a marine can wear it while assigned to that duty, per the unit commander but w/o stars does not become a permanent award. Do you have orders awarding you the Combat Air Crew Wings and if so do they cite any particular action/event??? jmo pr
