  1. Carlie, Thank you very much for that but they told us that it was invuluntary and I see what you have here but on that id doesnt say anything about an Honorable invuluntary seperation from the army I seen where it was others for like if they got in troubel or became a teacher or somthing but that is for the officers not the enlisted side I am sorry I am just realy confused
  2. Carlie, first off it is nice to hear from you my husband tells me that you are a realy good source of information from what he tries to read and I would like to say thank you for being an inspiration to all the veterans that need help. "My wag is SC'd at 50 - 70 or 100 percent and probably not P&T for awhile" I dont know what you mean by this I am sorry but I dont know alot about this stuff yet, and I am unable to read threw the lines. Yes he was diagnosed with PTSD while in the military but he is getting a JBK code for his seperation from what I understand is an involuntary seperation code and he is also getting an Honorable discharge with that.
  3. Thank you all so much for your help. I am sorry that I took all that the wrong way I am not used to this but as we (My hubby and I) go along with this I will learn more. As for me seeing a shrink I think it would be interestign I am getting a masters in psychology just so you all know I have made a promise to my husband that I will not dig into his head but I did tell him that I will be there for him when he needs me. Back to the point I just think it would be funny a psycologist seeing a shrink :D I know it has happened in the past many times I just think it is funny because my hubby brought it up a couple of times in the past and here it is again here hahahahaha. Cooter, What do you mean I have a good TDIU claim in the makign also I am nto sure what that is or even how it works, I have heard of it before has somthing to do with ??Individual Unemployment I am nto sure why I would be able to claim it and my hubby finaly gets out of the army on the 28th of this month how do I go about making sure he gets that because I dont think he can work just for the fack he dont like being around people I draged him to the store yesterday and he was jittery and on guard the whole time I asked him waht was wrong and he said that he didnt trust the people that were there and one guy got to close and he almost turned around and hit him but I seen what was going on and I pushed him to go to another isle. I know he needs to see some one abotu this but he wont go to the people on base because he doesnt trust them I guess when ever he is done with his session the shrinks or some one go back and talk to the people in his unit about everything. right now I am planning on trying to get him to draw unemployment until he gets the VA letter but what else can I do I have read that I can do an SSD claim but I am not sure how to do that one eather I just dont knwo what i am supposed to do except be here for him I guess I need alot of help myself . But thank you all for helping thus far
  4. I am sorry I dont mean to sound like a stuck up B___ with my only concern is about being how long this is going to take or how my he will get for his disability % he has always tryed to tell me that he is ahead of the game and on the ball I know what it means in civilian terms but I only think it means the same thing in military terms, I am just trying to "stay ahead of the game" for him and make sure that I know what is about to come and see if I can head anything off before it gets here if that makes any sence? Again I am sorry if I made it sound like I was a bad person but I am realy truly just trying to look out for my veteran. But I will keep that phone number close by I think I have been pritty lucky so far I have been able to talk to him and he also talks to my father whom is a veteran also as well as a principal/ teacher so he feels comfertable talking to him. Again I am sorry if I gave the wrong impression I ddi not mean too and I hope to keep gathering more information as days go by
  5. No he just reached the end of his contract I asked him and he said it was his ETS date but he cant reenlist because of the RCP date, He has claimed everythign from his head to his feet including his PTSD he has claimes his neck , both shoulders, entire back (pritty much), both knee's and both feet. But I am more concerned about his PTSD he has a GAF of 40 and what I know about it (very little) is that is a bad score granted not the worst but still bad I know he is having nightmeres and still flashbacks and even seeing people that arnt there he tells me that there is a little girl with him off and on usualy when he is stressed I never see her and then there are I guess a couple of guys that are there when he is having bad days and the day just keeps getting worse. I am not scared for our daughter's or my safty I know that he would never hurt us but he dont like leaving the house and he realy dont like people he dont know I have had to take the guns and hide them because I am scared he might do somthing stupid he has told me that he wanted to end it a couple of times but I have clamed him down to where he forgets abotu it and I can give him an abian to make him go to sleep, When he wakes up he is usualy better he has his days though. He started his QTC exams 4months before his discharge date and he asked the VA rep here how long it will take before he gets a rating and he said it could take up to 120 days but I dont understand why it would take that long if he started so early from getting out of the army. and could he apply for tdui now since he is almost off of active duty? I fogot to say that he has signed up for the KY national guard does that have any bearing on anything?
  6. He is still on Active Duty untill the 28th of this month I am just trying to get everything in order because he always takes forever or just forgets abotu it realy frustrates me but I stick with him. He hasnt applied for SSD or TDUI I am not sure what these mean I dont due military lingo I am sorry, I also dont know what he should or shouldnt apply for I want to get him everything he is intitled to since he gave so much not only for me but everyone that has any contact with him he is a vary giving person and never asks for anything in return even if we need it makes me mad some times but that is just they way he is. I just need some help trying to get everythign going. He has been to all the QTC appoinments already and everything is done with the QTC part of all of this of course he is still going to the doctor on post threw his unit untill he get out completly and they are saying that he needs to have surgery on his neck due to degeneritive disk disease with buldging disks and herneated disks I dont know what they are but I guess they are bad enough to have surgery on I know they are pinching his nurves in his neck and he cant feel with his fingers in his left hand they already did the MRI and the EMG with the electic needle thing and he has nurve damage I guess from what the dos is saying. he is just all messed up and I am not sure what I can do or what to expect from the VA or what percentage he is going to be as far as disabled. please help me see the light at the end of the tunnel I am going nutty. Thank you
  7. Just so you all know I put the attatchments on here in order.
  8. I was woundering what my husband would get with just the PTSD claim for the VA I am going to attatch the copies for you to review of course without the personal info on it. He has been in the military for a little over 14 years and has reached his RCP date what ever that is and they wont let him reenlist but he has changed alot with his moods and everything for the worst I am sorry to say but he can't remember alot of things but this has been occuring starting from his Iraq deployment but he has been on 7 deployments 3 of which have been combat deployments. He doesnt like taking pills he will not go to the BH here on post he thinks that they are always talking to other people about him and he dont want that to happen he wont go to group places you sholuld see me try to get him to go to family reunions (its like trying to get some one to a dentist) I dont know how the VA works I am hoping that they will take care of him since he gave alot to his country I am hoping that they wont do to him like they did to the Nam-VET's and treat them in shitty hospitals and just forget about them. That is all I know just from reading about it. Please if some on can point me in the right direction my husband told me that this is a great site for info like this and he seems to like it and tole me to give it a try so I am. Thanks for all of your help in advance.
  9. Thank you for all your help I will contackt the VA rep that I went threw here at the base and see if he will do anything Thanks alot though it helped out alot now I dont think i will be so stressed.
  10. But I was asking about the PTSD and the TBI you said "exclusive of TBI and PTSD and the solicited items if you choose to formally claim them" what are you meaning by this? are you saying not including this just with what I have for the rest of the medical problems you would say about 60% or am I just reading it wrong?
  11. The feet problems came up during the exam but I thought that since it came up there they would add it to my claim since this was my first exam for the VA so I will get ahold of my VA rep again and see what he says thank you for your help
  12. What other conditions are you thinking I am lost when it comes to this stuff, and just so you know when I put these in here I put them in order I am not ssure how they got all jumbled around but thank you very much for your help.
  13. Sorry I didnt know what to put in here but I labeled all of them so it would be easier to navagate so I thought but anyhelp is good help thank you.
  14. I havnt got out of the lilitary yet I am on transitional leave and I am going to be officialy out on the 28th of this month but the attachtments that I have put on here above is what i have claimed with the VA and I am wounderring what I should be expecting and how long this will take apon my exit of the military.
