  1. Yes, I did have all of my ducks in a row as they say. I reluctantly did the claim myself, and was afraid I'd screw it up, but did a lot of research and found my evidence to be indisputable. Got very intimate with 38 CFR......
  2. Well, my journey is over. Just found out that my disability percentage was raised from 30 to 70. I am happy with the outcome, and must say the system worked well for me. My claim took only seven months from start to finish with no lost paperwork or redundancy. Now, I must correct the info the VA has about my service time which will affect CRDP. Working on that now (waiting for the regional office to contact me). I am sure this glitch will be quickly corrected (I hope) as the regional office has both copies of my DD 214. Good luck to all, and I appreciate the help I received from this site!
  3. Was wondering, had my C&P for back issues and was diagnosed with IVDS with radiculopathy to both legs. Will I also be rated for the radiculopathy, or will that be another claim for me to file? Thanks for all responses!
  4. When are the bed rest days calculated? Is it when the claim was first processed, or the date of the C & P exam???? I do have prescribed bed rest for back pain, but do not know when the VA actually calculates the days within a year period. Thanks for all responses.
  5. Yeah, he bedrested me after PT, and spinal injection failed. I could stand or walk, and was loopy due to pain pills and muscle relaxants...
  6. A large keloid scar on my head which developed as a result of surgery while in the service.
  7. I am new to this forum and I thank those who have educated me greatly!. Had my C&P exam last week and am a bit nervous about this process. Had multiple back injuries while in the Coast Guard which are documented (even on my retirement PE). MRI states multiple herniated disc L1-L5 with annular tears and moderate degenerative disc disease L1-S1. Also have radiculopathy with bilat lower extremity weakness. I have researched that most back claims are rated on ROM, which mine was 40%, but I have documented bed rest for 7 weeks in the past year, and have been out of worked for a total of 5 months the past year. For anyone with experience or similar findings, what would be my likely rating? Am I going to get hosed because of the 40% ROM? I kow this question may be redundant, but I appreciate all responses. Thanks for your support!
