i first filed 2nd to tinnitus and was denided,they were testing me for meneries tested post.so got 30%.so after i looked in to i found out migaines go along with meniers and vistublar so i filed 2nd to that with a IMO and ask for DRO it's been about 9 months steel waiting. good luck.

john i have s/c for meneires syndrom,tinnitus,hearing loss 30%.i have migrians and made a claim 2nd to vistublar disorders.so you might want to talk to your doc about it.look up on the internet the Merck Manual,section:neurologic disorders,subject:headache/migraine.also look in vestibular disorders association:vestibular migraine.GOOD LUCK!by the way i've been out 12/22/1972 and started my claims 3 years ago i'm in DRO part of the claims.it's never to late just be as hard headed as they are.hope this helps.

well for it's worth i have m/d my m/h doc gives me and older med. called nortriptyline hcl 25mg 3 times a day.it mixs whit zomig.i was on celxia didn'tlike the way it made me fell plus i looked it up and didn't go with zomig.so you may what to ask your doc about nortriptyline.i'm also at the m/h huntsville,al.good luck!

other than cost,what have you heard that was not encouraging about,i got one from hem for my NOD 4 claims,anyway i just sent it in 2 mths ago so it's to early to know yet,but my POA ask how much it cost that was before i got it back,so when i got it i sent it to my POA and after he read it he told me i just may have got my moneys worth. only time well tell now.hope you find one for less money.i think some of the other folks know some others.good luck.

HIS CURRENT SYMPTOMS AND THE FINGING ON HIS ECOG ARE CONSISTENT WITH MENIERE'S DISEASE. THE HISTORY OF HIS SYMTOMS CONSISTENT WITH MENIERE'S THAT WAS VERY MILD WHEN HE LEFT THE MILITARY AND BECAME MORE PROMINENT OVER TIME. SYMPTOMS ARE OF WORSENING TINNITUS AND HEARING LOSS IN THE LEFT EAR ASSOCIATED WITH VERTIGO.HE REPORTS INITIAL SYMPTOMS WERE MILD AND NOT FREQUENT SO HE DIDN'T SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION UNTIL THEY BE CAME MORE FREQUENT AND SEVER. HE DID BRING A SMR NOTE FROM 1972 THAT REPORTED DIZZINESS. PER HIS LAST C&P EXAM IN 2006 HE HAD A SLIGHT SHIFT IN HIS LOW FREQUENCY HEARING LOSS 500 HZ. THESE TWO FINDINGS COULD BE SUGGESTIVE OF A MILD MENIER'S AT THE TIME OF DISCHARGE FROM MILITARY SERVICE.AS THE VETERAN IS S/C FOR HEARING LOSS AND TINNITUS.WHICH ARE TWO COMMON FINDINGS WITH MENIERE'S,AND THERE IS DOCUMENTATION OF DIZZINES IN 1972 AND SLIGHT SHIFT IN HIS LOW FREQUENCY HEARING,BOTH OF WHICH ARE CONSISTENT WITH MENIERE'S, AND THAT HE REPORTS HISTORY THAT IS CONCISTENT WITH MILD MENIERE'S AT THE TIME OF HIS DISCHARGE FROM THE MILITARY THAT HAS GRADUALLY WORSENED OVER TIME, IT IS MY OPINION THAT THE VETERAN PROBABLY HAD EARLY MENIERE'S AROUND THE TIME OF HIS DISCHARGE FROM MILITARY SERVICE.EXAMINERS MED OPINION:THE VET'S MENIERE'S IS AS LEAST AS LIKELY AS NOT (50/50 PROBABILITY)CAUSED BY OR A RESULT OF HIS MILITARY SERVICE OR S/C TINNITUS. well i;m on oxycodon now my said he could out me on hydrocodon and he could put 3 refills and would not have to call in every time i need a refill.so saterday one of my firends gave 2 #10 hydro so itryed them to see if i would won't ask my doc to change,i had my appointment monday and gave me a piss test.if hydro shows up in it they well stop my pain meds it's not like go out looking for it on the streets or doc shop va doc is my only doc. can anyone tll me how long it stays in your pee.

i put in a cliam for tinnitus and i got 10% for tinnitus and 0% hearing loss and i didn't file for hearing they just gave it to me.

tinnitus and hearing in both ears.doc done all test it was ecog that tested my left ear shows meners.doc put me low salt diet and water pills.i have vertigo a few times a year.oh my tinntus rings 24/7.i think the doc did'nt put me on pills for vertigo is i'm already on alprazolam for anxiety.

i'm s/c for tinnitus and hearing loss and was just tested and have meneres in left ear.would i file for this as second to my s/c or file claim as a new claim?
