My service record 88-92 Army 82nd desert storm and invasion of panama blown out right knee on a jump and tore rotater cuff bad back and left hip struggling with pain daily can't sleep thru night because of night terrors.

Is the number everyone's calling 1800 827 1000?? Or does anyone have a better number?

I have been waiting a year for a decisions on a c&p comp.claim why so long and why do they make it sk hard. Just when I thought everything was in they ask for more paper work. I checked the e benifits page daily and it said no action needed then wham they ask for something else. I had even called and asked if it was all in and my packet complete and thy said yes and boom we news this or that. I didn't ask for anything when I served but thy ask for everything it just seems wrong.

I think its sad that they lost your records because the VA doesn't seem to give any disability to many vets that they don't have med records on. The bad part is that they will probably make you wait months before thy send you a denial. A lot of vets from your era had thr records lost. I hate it for u keep fighting and with a senator involved will help. I too am waiting - nearly a year and counting for a reply sitting in a decision phase for 11 months have you signed up for e-vet verify? Cause u can go in and see everything about ur claim its a free portal to the Va

Does anyone no how far back the Va will give back pay for?

If anyone can't afford a lawyer go to your local American leigon post I have found them to be very helpful.

It will take about 3 weeks to a month before u get a c&p appt. Then months and months to hear back with a decision. I have a claim in and next month will be a year from first contact about my claim.
