  1. rpowell01 I'm in the same place as you are and it sounds like we are in the same boat. I hurt my back while on Active Duty and was Medically discharged because of it. Now here I am 37 years later in more pain in doing not much of anything than I ever have been. My PCP sent me to the Pain Clinic after I had their required MRI, which they came to the conclusion I had three (3) pinched nervers (in the Lumbar Spine), two (2) Buldging Discs, Lumbar Spinal Stenosis and Degenerative Arthritis. The doctors injected Steroids in my spine three (3) different times, all lasting between three to four days of pain relief. The doctors then decided to do an RF Ablation which made my back hurt 100% worse than it had in the beginning. I was later told by my PCP the Pain Clinic doctors had done the RFA on the wrong nerves. My PCP wanted me to go back to see the Pain Clinic, this one doc, I'll call him Dr. Lolife, he told me I never had any pinched nerves and my problem was Fibromyalgia. I ask him is I had had it since I was hurt 37 years ago. Get this, he looked me right in my eyes and said "yes". I requested my medical records from that day and he wrote nothing of the sort in his Progress Notes. I went back to the Pain Clinic and made another appointment with Dr. Lolife. I asked him again several questions about the earlier appointment which he remembered. When I asked him if he remember our conversation regarding the Fibromyalgia beginning 37 years ago, he said "I don't recall." How's that for a bunch of BS. I went to the Security Officer for paperwork to have my record Ammended. Guess what happened next? By the time the Committee met, good ole' Dr. Lolife had Graduated his Fellowship and moved on to bigger and better things messing up other peoples lives. Back at the Committee, another doctor spoke for Dr. Lolife and said they were not going to include the statement he had made to me. I know I made a really long statement out of this but perhaps like you, I needed to get it out. I wonder what I can do now. I have another Comp & Pen coming up 7 Jan. I've heard a couple of things it may be about but I won't know for sure until the time comes. I'm having more problems than I've stated here. My VSO is Great and is helping me out as much as he can. I've had him appeal just about all my claims. I know I have a hearing in the near future just don't know when. If anyone can offer any suggestions, they would be most appreciated. "Never Give Up"
