Being a Delaware resident I have been finding it extremely hard to afford childcare while I go to my appointments now they want to send me for 12 hours a week if so their is no way to afford daycare in this area with my va disability and SSdI as my budget even with my wife working PT. So I reached out to the VA they said they can’t help and reached out to the whoever since I’m a Poly trauma patient there can’t remeber think it was the chaplain. But they said they have no idea So I’m forced to bring two kids two to three times a week to these appointments trying to avoid them being sick they said reach out to the state social services. I just received notice I was denied services even after wrote in a letter he needed me to be in treatment 12 hours a week and needed childcare part time. The denial stated nothing about my doctor special need said our income was too much my VA disability was used against me as my income and they should no deductions like my mortgage I can fight this see how long it takes could take months, but by the time I done with the fight it could be a year and then my oldest will be in public school. Does this sound right using my disability as income for state benefits? It’s very aggravating barely getting by paying a mortgage and being told I make to much, as if being disabled doesn’t have medical costs with it which aren’t even taken into account not even food was counted as being a need for. The family of four just utilities and the mortgage, good thing I go to church with my stated districts representative...

Usually if you see an exam request it’s after they Review your file and you are waiting a call to schedule one. But in this case you had been to one already and awaiting it to register which can take up to ten days after the exam is submitted back to the rarer, and it will take at the least the minimum 10 days.But I would tell you to call the 1800 and see what the stall is, they’ll actually see and tell you if it just awaiting a signature for return tbut now you would have to wait to Monday. Sorry I didn’t answer sooner. But your close to an answer and if you want a better answer request a copy of your exam from where ever it was done at by going to the records of release at your local Va hospital or if you have a VsO or attorney he maybe able to snag a copy from the computer system...

So I just noticed today on the top of the 21-2680 they sent me in the mail and had my doctor fill out this past October at the top says not valid past May 2018. I was didn’t think much of it since they sent me to a C and P befor sending me the form that was pointless since my primary doctor had to fill out the applicationanyeays. So I went to va.gov and downloaded the new application says valid until 2021 gotta love snail mail.... so I sent in the new application to my primary doctor who is filling it out on Monday. As far as the VA COLA raise is concerned my letter generated doesn’t say any change. If it’s effective and paid on the 1 of Dec wouldn’t it change or do I wait until later in the month of Dec. think I read it won’t be effective until the 31 of Dec.?

Funny I never had exam for just the headaches until 2018 which was a 50 the tbi reviewer always found to do them but I’m sure that 100 or the 70 with the TBI review didn’t help my headache condition by itself... especially when they also rated me my scars and lightheadedness and dizziness each at 30% each bringing me to 90% for my tbi-r since 2010. I just hope my vso will help me now he’s my only option the attorneys just turned it down I don’t really have anyone else to ask my vso is mostly focusing on my SMC claim....

What’s a fenderson staged rating just curious? The attorneys I asked declined to take my case but I have been reached by my local VSO who is working with me now but right now we are working on my SMC case. Honesty once I meet with the VSO I can clarify everything without trying to confuse him like I do over the phone...

I think that means it is when your last raise went into effect for disability I have that same date but if look under your list of disability it shows the EDD dates.

I believe this means they are reviewing the steps after it will be sent to your RO to begin setting up and planning your next C and P for an appropriate rating. Sometimes it moves slow I had a habit of watching the completion days change back and forth OCD and ebenefits is like fuel to my fire. Also I’ll try not to confuse so on ebenefits go to manage my health care and click on my Va appointments when the calendar pops up click on appointments requests. There a list pops up and a new request should be seen soon to see if your new C and P is scheduled. Congratulations Abnrgr Not to go on the rant on someone else’s thread but what is the point of being 90 IU PT why wouldn’t they just bump it to the 100% P and T. Wouldn’t it be that if it’s P and T severe it would’ve been rated at 100% scheduler ? I mean that’s why when I was the same thing I filed for an increase and eighth months later it was made the IU moot and it was then made 100% scheduler P and T not sure it makes a difference or an option for you to try if you feel like you’ve been lowballed I would...

If you go in ebenefits and go to letter generated you should be able to see what benefit your recieving and it will say if it’s P and T. I actually used that to get my ID card at the local national guard base here in DE. When you get your ID you get to enter your family back in the deers system so they can use ChampVA if it’s needed. I’m still new to the ChampVA thing but someone can correct me but if you have insurance they need to be used as a secondary to pay anything else your primary doesn’t.

Well for the last two years if I had no choice I’d be trying to handle either a one year old in with my cognitive therapy he slept most of the time and the few times I had to into a catscan they asked a nurses aide to helpout one time. I hated feeling like the only dad to ever bring their child with them to treatment. Wilmington VA has no VAMC on their premises or a childcare center. I never thought I had to go to Social Services ever for help but I’d rather get my treatment started up again after my Poly trauma yearly evaluation on Dec. 3

Spoke with the man he asks me a few questions and I he asked me for my decisions and spoke with me on how to get my 21-2680 fixed by my primary doctor on Black Friday. I’m still shocked my appointment wasn’t canceled and also talked about to him that I have to get the state help for my childcare assistance, which he said unfortunately the VA doesn’t do that even when your their for treatment 2 to 3 days a week. But the state of Delaware does and I was given an application to have my doctor fill out. So if your in treatment in Delaware worried about your little ones, the Social services office has a medical form to have your primary doctor to fill out to get childcare assistance. It’s taken me two years to find this out but the benefit is there with the state. Now Friday will tell my next step whether I submit a reconsideration for my SMC based on new material evidence with a new 21-2680 formed filled out or appeal it with new evidence my retro would be around 10k. I’ll ask my vso what he thinks I should do I know usually the RO always denies when they have to shell out money, but 10k im not sure about?

So does this sound like I have an EED claim? Original award of 0% for my headaches and then increased to 50% for post traumatic headaches due to my TBI in 2018 but my TBI was in 2006. Not sure if you can fight for an EED for 2010 since the original was a grant based on CUE in 2016 of 0 percent yet the increase was dx based on my post traumatic headaches from my tBi

so being that they said my EED was June of this year and not when I filed from 2010 can be appealed? If that’s correct that would make my so called 90% over the 100 hump backdating my. 100 to 2010 and not 2016. This game gets so confusing..

True but in my case the appeal was won they said it was permanent, but the award said no dea benefits. Which is why I appealed and the RO saw the mistake and change my award letter to P and T with DEA ChampVA benefits. Appeal complete 21 days just last June 2017. I’m just giving an example of why you may appeal a win at the BVA...

Thanks they have dental through MetLife I will definitely be calling him. I already spoke to some one last week they said it was outgoing and the place who did my wife’s surgery said it would take ChampVA why we went there to have the surgery they just can’t be on hold for 45 minutes a call like I was before getting the answer... maybe Mr Johnson can explain the delay

yeha just when I see things going my way I get reminded how unaware to details, I was like ok dependents benefits went thru I assumed so was Medicare for my one, four and wife . Felt so lost going to my state social services for help with purchase of care in Delaware so I can go to my 2 to 3 appointments a week. Sad the VA here doesn’t have anything other then dragging two kids into my appointments...

So wait I’m the only one eligible for Medicare not my spouse who is 33 years old and not my children who both receive dependent benefits? We have a struggle with champ va all the time we are now on the phone with the collection agency saying it’s going to effect our credit next week when I call champ they say it processed and going out wha a xxxxxxx joke 45 minutes wait to say it’s processing and the collectors don’t care what they say to me...why do they not have a website to be able to see all this like ebenefits I’m irate now when I call tomorrow the collectors calling my wife’s part time job..

Yeha I don’t think the Wilmington Va has one att this location but I look into it, it took 6 months of me complaining about a changing station before they put one in the men’s bathroom.
