  1. So I’m rated 30% for dizziness and lightheaded ness and 10% for tinnitus. Being that the doctor said I have a mild hearing loss and spoke with me about hearing aids and that the VA would cover them I’m assuming SC especially when he pulled out his hearing aids and said you can’t even tell but you gotta ask your va hospital if your rates high enough they’ll cover the costs and then he saw 100% tbi residuals and was I’m writing up the report, and then logged into today and can’t see if claims closed or my disability list. Never a bad sign had claim closed and no changes usually not good but my list is super long all like to my service this would make 11..,
  2. So whenever you have a claim closed and you see no change on ebennies, sorry usually a denial. But if after a c and P exam you can’t see your disability list and or any VA letters. Means updating it to be current. I can say and I know have 11 claimed and service connections rated 100% scheduler p and t it’s almost usually positive outcome. In my case hearing lose if just connected at 0% would be my positive outcome....
  3. I don’t know if I am owed back pay or should look the Obamacare penalties I paid in 2017 and 2018 if true. But I was made IU P and T Nov. 2016 and yet wasn’t awarded any other benefits like ChampVA until I filed an increase in 2017 and was made 100% scheduler and p and T mid year...... but to answer the question when I was made IU P and T I was made SMC S as An IU receiver
  4. 0% percent is still service connected that is all I want Im already 10% for tinnitus but Ive never filed for hearing loss until now years after the spouse and kids telling me my hearing sucks
  5. Tinnitus they said 10% due to my TBI. But I wore these bad boys in Afghanistan and in the states upon my return in 2009/2010 and we know by the 3M lawsuit it could have definitely been the cause. But I didnt think hearing loss was something they rate just tinnitus, just want to know if there’s something else that they will rate and not attribute it to my TBI but possibly anything else other then my TBI? The two at the bottom are what there rated under
  6. Had a exposure incident where I was rapid tested but my wife had to drive two hours the next day in another state to get tested as did my 6 and 3 year old.....
  7. I’ve been SMC S since 2016 don’t think there’s much more out there but I try to keep my ears open so to speak but nothing that I qualify for or have been told I qualify for until these kids get older.....
  8. But what I don’t get is how they didn’t raise it to 40 they gave me a seperate 10% for painful and the 30% is for the size but as we know 30 plus 10 isn’t 40% which I can see how this would benefit them if they have them listed as two separate ratings like the decision letter stated and ebenefits
  9. Well you see how they rated my scars.... like what does that even mean
  10. Sorry Buck Merry Christmas so they related my scars via the trach tube scar on my throat 30% then they denied my psoriasis claim from the residual marks and pain/itch. Then they said an additional 10% for painful scars along with the other rating. So denied psoriasis but then gave something the doctor had said that wasn’t even in my claim filed, like anything else the Va does confusion. At this out I don’t think they even care since my tbi is already 100% P and T.
  11. Scars were rated on a phone call Another claim just closed for an increase in my tinnitus not denied but continued 10% is the highest no matter if it’s bilateral in my ears...
  12. It’s also fine and your lawyer can negotiate with your lawsuit winnings as was in my case with Tricare. They got 118k could have gotten 200k at least of my 300k but since my pro take you’re money got 100k they took 100k I was left with 100k in service so I was happy To be alive and back on active duty to complain. I never even heard of the VA until my separation in 2010. And took a lot of research to know what and how they work always changing always learning.... thank you hadit.com
  13. Show proof I still have my two pair boxes etched with my last 4 ssn
  14. Does anyone know if or when this might be given out like the flu shot whose first or whatever?
  15. So I had 3 migraine exams two of the first ones were done combined to my residuals of a tbi rated at 100% so the doc wasn’t to focused on my daily migraines as being an issue either one. So annoyed in 2018 after having been rated at 0 for 8 years I went to my newly filed claim appointment for an increase went with my evidence of 8 years of treatment records of Va heAlth records the doctor was LHi an apologized for the VA inadequate exams and said this will be easy I was there for 20 minutes 2 weeks later 50%..... the va won’t give the highest for migraines out front unless you do the research and know what prostrating means right away I’m no idiot but I admit when he asks with no explanation I said no in 2011.... funny maybe it was fate since they made 3 other issues secondary to my sTBI and when they made my migraines 50% they had to make it a primary with my TBI sorry I could rant for days
  16. I went through the same hoops but of course I was 0 percent for 8 years before they made me 50% by going to my LHI appointment and not getting my appointment together with my TbI residuals. At least they ordered a second one that was my good sign....
  17. I wonder that means us P and T vets with kids in school may get one?
  18. Anyone know how to get your current disability list on either website? I’m on an iPhone i Have figured out you can get to it you going to payments information and the then click on additional benefits, but other then filing for an Increase to see the list and The decision letter isn’t there one you can download?found it so I’ll post it for iPhone users in VA.gov under benefits menu....
  19. They are getting better with moving quicker on IU claims so as to not create more of a financial hardship that would ensue if you were not given IU. LHI is great at moving quickly for us and this is why you have an exam but just don’t go an say I’m fine and I’m working at your appointments or you’ll be denied IU. State why you feel like you can’t work back up with medical evidence, are you currently working? This is one question they will ask the C and P exam questions are somewhere on here to review.... also as I did file for SSDI if your unable to work having one claim for the VA won’t expedite your claim but it could possibly be expedited if it is granted..
  20. I would have been at my RO raising hell over a year to implement call the whitehouse hotline at least they get you an answer you deserve...
  21. Headache and migraine 0% for 6 years and then bam got my first migraine exam solo not with a tbi review and wow 50% keywords (prostrating headaches) I didn’t even know what it was in 2010 until after my first time exam so I said I don’t know that’s what got me the 0% but then two increases along with my tbi increases they increased my tbi to 100% but said 0 for my headaches. Then my first solo exam I was increased to 50% almost 8 years later....just because this time I went prepared and made sure it said prostrating headaches at least 4 times a week. It’s wasn’t a lie I live off of grunt candy 800 mg ibuprofen. But if I wanted to waste my kids life and try to get it rated back to 2010 I would be consumed again like I was when my kids were 1 and 3. VA not taking anymore of my daddy time away again so if he asks and they are prostrating look it and if it is say yes and if he doesn’t ask say they are. And you should be fine...
  22. So A trick I learned back in 2016 when your claim has closed and no updates visible and checked everywhere but your positive it will be positive results. Two options I have tried this in a couple years, people may hate this but file a new claim for an increase there when it shows you what your ratings are currently it will either show your increase or new disability or it will look funny And show unable to process it. And then instead of going through with the claim delete the application as if you changed your mind....
  23. Where’s it located at it at? Is it still awaiting the RO to certify it to the board or is it in the black hole at the Appeals management center? If so I found a number for the AMA I’ll have to find it’s been few years that I used and got an immediate update or hell even try the whitehouse hotline and yes I’ve used them twice and got positive results
  24. Crazy read I never even thought about this PH shit even after my sTBI and the Lod which I have and being put on Light duty for almost two years before deploying to Afghanistan in 2009. But I wish after the PTSD from my sTBI I had afterwards I could file for it... but I assumed it was only for Those shot or dead like my High school buddy RIP Miniger
  25. Like the previous answer I was made 100 P and T at the age of 30 so please understand if I wasn’t xxxxxx from my sTBI I be on the same boat I kept trying to work while I kept filing for 6 years 2010 to 2016 before wait what my appeal granted I’m disabled then the next year SSA went thru your disabled. SSDI was approved before The VA went thru let me repeat if you think you shouldn’t be working maybe you shouldn’t, best advice get a vocational analysis by a doctor and file for IU. While you wait file for ssdi bet SSA bets the VA like it did for me.... Just FYI I didn’t even know what the xxxx SSDI was until 2016 but it’s a money helper not anything else as it does nothing medically for your family only P and T does not even if your 100% scheduler unless stuff has changed in the last three years
