  1. I'm sure this might be in the letter but is it possible to be permanent and Total for a TBI that was only rated at 70 intially in 2010 and again in 2016 but was granted IU in Nov.? Would this make me scheduler this was granted before my other claim which is now pending my DBQ which seperated my symptoms from my PTSD TBI and my chronic AD? Curioius as to what the impact of my new claim will have now that they made my TBI residual P and T...
  2. Call this right now (202) 530-9470 ask them exactly what happened and you won't get some bullshit answer from a computer fed system do not call 1800 not the real answer!
  3. Were you granted a increase to a level of disability just not the level of impairment due to IU is a guess
  4. I know some say it doesn't help or matter but the letter my previous employer filled out and also wrote saying I was let go because of my TBI residuals helped with the approval helped in my case. Not to sure if you have a similiar situation
  5. Please do apply for both take me as a prime example of what not to do.. I've been only focused on the VA I was approved at 90 since 2010 100 since 2016 and somehow I never even heard of SSDI until 2017 when my last employer asked me why I haven't filed for it. Jan 2017. I'm not going to say having been 100 or 90 before hand won't help to get a decision. And in my case it was a denial so I'm here in the reconsiderstion appeal since Delaware has to do this before judge looks at it bummer for me I was also approved for a Permanent and total rating so you would think it's a no brainer. But it won't be Approved I'm sure until a judge looks at it but I could be wrong but I'm done guessing why I hired an attorney. Who knows had I done this from the intial filing I would have been approved. Going on 6 months now so if you are betting on SSA right away check your state to se processing times...
  6. Thanks buddy this is who i enlisted with out of our high school
  7. Also check your local property taxes i reside in DE the master list says there no tax exemption in DE but in New castle county their is. So that's a definate perk
  8. Congrats depending on your Disabilities you might be eligible for SMC S like I am myself am only 90 scheduler but 100% pay and now P T ad well.
  9. Do you have an attorney if you do i you will have another claim open up as eligibility determination? That's usually a good sign if it a final decision like myself I have another claim open up like this....vets.gov or ebenefits whichever floats your boat
  10. If it's PTSD they'll just lump it together as they are all mental issues and can only have one rating...
  11. The doctor said he turned it in the next day and I have a copy yet no update on ebenefits. Would it hurt to download it scan it and upload on ebenefits myself? Or would that cause more delays it shows a suspense date as due the tenth it's annoying since I know they have it...
  12. All this talk got me worried I'm also given SMC S which I would lose I just got P and T so I'm sure that would be effected.
  13. Now my new claim for my chronic AD which the doctor seperate my symptoms for my TBI, PTSD, and My AD puts me over the 100 mark it only needs to get me a 50% to collectively get me over 100 with my other issues... this new rule would. Put me at 90% and then my SMC S would be pulled away this is all if I was close to retirement I'm not even 40 yet so will this still effect me? Hate anxiety
  14. As I was told the Person who granted my PT said I was 100% disabled I didn't hear anything about this. And we are a ways away from anything getting approved 2018. So this and the other rule of stopping payments when reach retirement age. What the hell is going on? I am not even close to SSA so I am assuming this means nothing to me. But what if I qualified for SSDI is that considered like retirement? The administration wants Congress to end IU eligibility next year for any veteran 62 and older who qualifies for at least minimum Social Security payments. Their VA compensation would be rolled back to amounts payable based on their actual disability ratings of 60 to 90 percent.
  15. Still in prep for notification since the 26th of May. No point of asking how long when I know the outcome just taking forever....I know I can't complain when this is an appeal that took 2 weeks to get my decision.
  16. Symptoms of TBI exacerbating my symptoms of PTSD which is causative of my chronic adjustment disorder.... this might be the death of my claim or separation of my symptoms but we will see next month probably. How does this sentence sound to everyone?
  17. Well not to sure how this will pan out any ideas? Will they finally seperate my PTSD/ AD from my TBI maybe maybe not ones getting a call to the complaint line if not? I was just found Permanent and total two days ago with this claim still pending I'm still awaiting the award letter. I'm hoping this won't hurt my PT due that I know it's based on my residuals of my TBI. Does anyone know how this might be rated? If it could tip in my favor and not be lumped in with my TBI much like my PTSD symptom?
  18. In my denial they stated I could follow to step directions if given verbally. I laughed my Neurological exam stated that was the part of the exam where I failed and received a lower score then I did in 2010 I just couldn't do it. I was so angry not being able to remember a sentence read to me saying it back two sentences in a row only like 1 or 2 words out of the sentence. They had the exam and still that's what they came up with for the denial. My attorney I'm sure will take their time I'm still wondering if I should go to SSA and turn in my letter being granted Permanent and totally disabled or give it to my attorney. Or both
  19. IU P and T as well, I guess ill be sending it in just in case...
  20. I'm confused now his letter stated he was P and T and he still needs to report earnings with no future exams?
