  1. Claim was closed and he opened a new one for an increase to my secondary for scars due to my TBI. And estimated days bumped up 1 month to 20 of October. It’s already 30%,, not sure but I’m pretty sure 40% is the highest available to get for scars on 6 different locations? He said an exam will be scheduled
  2. Just curious if there’s anything out there benefit why’s I’m missing with my rating other like a higher SMC other then my S which I’m receiving other then the obvious SMC T almost impossible to get at 34 am I missing anything I’m rated as follows does anyone have a higher then 30% for scars? scars 30% (increase just filed for an additional 13 additional scars due to psoriasis vulgaris, which the original 30% is already secondary to the tbi and ptsd so the depression and stress which the VA say exacerbated psoriasis already in my files) scars are on both legs and both arms presently on face and neck Tbi residuals with chronic ptsd 100% migraines 50% Left shoulder Injury 20% Dizziness and lightheadedness 30% tinnitus 10% right foot injury 10%
  3. Already have been called this morning from the VA he said just file an increase since it will be grouped with my Scars rating. I understood and filed the increase which is usually moved quicker then a regular new claim since connected for scars but says scars at 30% are to to ventilator dependency, but if increased it will most likely read Scars due to psoriasis vulgaris, tracheostomy and ventilator dependency. Wow less then two days filing , call came from Arkansas Little Rock and now hopefully my claim will be moving quicker now considered as an increase to a current rating.
  4. Va hospital records them seperately but disability says they can’t, even after their C and P doctor differentiated the two issues and also put a percent of what each were contributing to my dust issues with my TBI 100 and PTSD 30. Also said my ptsd was caused prior to my sTBI but somehow it’s still listed as a symptom of my sTBI. I understand the pyramiding issue with tbis but say I have a new issue caused by my PTSD say the stress may have contributed or caused my psoriasis but can the doctor say that this could be the cause at my C and P and be denied as it’s never been rated separately but a symptom? I have a feeling they will just lump it together with my scars disfigurement rating of 30% not sure if that just means an increase? I’m now at 18 scars or red marks just on my arms, legs, neck, and head. chronic post-traumatic stress disorder (SCT 313182004) Date/Time Entered: 07 Dec 2017 @ 1200 Provider: SHAPIRO,BARRY Location: Wilmington DE VAC Status: ACTIVE Comments: -- History of traumatic brain injury (SCT 88611000119100) Date/Time Entered: 27 Sep 2016 @ 1200 Provider: HAGGERTY,FRANCIS Location: Wilmington DE VAC Status: ACTIVE Comments: -Problem: Impacted cerumen (ICD-9-CM 380.
  5. You have to request them from the records department in your local VA hospital. Even if they weren’t done there I believe they be able to print them out as was my experience.
  6. I mean cooking bacon is always a great idea, just make sure you have clothes on....
  7. It was just the burden from Coronavirus and the rise of cost of living and her reduced hours. Made life tight for a little while
  8. Sounds like me after my Cuts turned to like scales and wouldn’t heal. Now with the treatment the Va gave me in left with these red marks all over my arms and legs from the steroid creams but they said it’s not exzema it’s psoriasis vulgaris. Wtf new to me. Do those symptoms sound similar
  9. My spouse has her masters and does so well at Her working only Part time 23 hours a week. Her boss told her he’s starting to pay her full time because of all the events she plans and attends with her patients. And now she does virtual classes for them so her salary has now double. Her first day back and what a hell of an upgrade with all this crap...
  10. Again the mim attacked the founder of the organization saying well why don’t you do something about it. They said she’s a loon but not to her face
  11. I’m SMC S and was denied caregiver program twice for my sTBI that’s rated 100% I’ve given up don’t work home most days.
  12. 4 months everything submitted into them even as a hardship due to my spouse out of work. Luckily they put us on a 3 month suspension up July 1 and them sending us letters saying we will owe almost 8k on July 1 unless we contact them and work something out. But hopefully enough to use as evidence to prove a hardship I will of course be calling the mortgage company every day so my family isn’t out on the street with Champva.... what could go wrong with having champva and homeless....but fingers crossed with this pandemic they have a heart at Wells Fargo and let us payment deferral and tack it on to the principal but anything could happen I’m not chancing it
  13. The process seemed pretty upfront and easy. I was dx with psoriasis vulgaris this year with the VA. With 13 lovely new red scars and marks all over my shins and legs. Just curious I was already rated for 30% for my scars from my severe TBI wondering how they will even look at this being P and T 100% scheduler with the DX paperwork all in my VA medical records. Curious to see how the timeline these days will look especially when they say no cure and ever time I get cut on my arms and legs I have to live with a new red mark on my body not that bothered except when the cuts turn into scales freaks my family out prior to my service no dx of anything like this and throughout my military career sooo annoyed especially if it’s tied into all the drugs they’ve tried for my tbi treatment
  14. Crazy I was asked the same for my TBI but ended up going with Someone else and paid 500.
  15. She works for a nonprofit to help people with the bleeding disorder Hemophilia. And she’s says she had a client come in and yell at the founder of the organization stating why can’t her son who has this condition join the Navy or the Air Force. They stared at each other said so you want us to attack the US government because your son can’t join the military. Just curious is there any branch that would take a adult with this condition please no jokes legitimate and his case is mild but still has to take meds?
  16. Also check about if your able to go wherever to have it done. Let them know if it’s a need for you you can go where ever your able too. I had to go two 3 C and Ps in one year for my TBI I’m in Delaware went to Philly, Scranton Pa , and somewhere in Maryland. All about 115 miles but I didn’t care to get everything I needed done right...
  17. I was thinking the same here thing call LHI again sounds fishy...they are given a window I don’t recall but I thought it also has to be in a 50 radius if you call you can have that changed to the nearest location, both my LHI exams were an hour drive to have it done ASAP, to have it scheduled in a timely basis and report sent back I never waited I waited ten days after the exam went to the VA hospital records and got a print out on the spot ....
  18. I know it’s just a reminder how things were for all of us a decade ago with how shit was moving slow, now this is just an excuse they needed for dropping the ball yet again. But the outsourcing of C and P was always step in the right direction. I would bark at the RO in emails about if the company LHI doctors are essential staff why C and Ps aren’t considered as an essential activity. I am my RO in Wilmington DE nightmare I have the CO of the Regional Offices email and met him in person. The ROs delay tactics are my motivation to hit the email who I can button. Not sure where you reside but worth the shot of asking hell if I didn’t ask the RO one question I’d still be 100% TDIU P and T and not scheduled 100% P and T. I used to call the 1800 number the whitehouse hotline actually worked for me on two separate incidents where it’s was waiting for the exams to be scheduled but it worked like they would tell me yes it’s been outsourced then called the company to see when it’s scheduled then call back the Va and then call the RO. I literally wasted hours of my life on hold when it was the old system and you had to hear that annoying xxxxxxx song that still haunts my dreams.....
  19. I just don’t know what it is, and yes I’m the other two things.
  20. I am alittle unclear on what this is since I’m young at 35. But having two young children a wife who works part time because of me I was looking into this. I’m 100% scheduled p and t no job so I was curious I collect ssdi and va so I thought that would automatically disqualify me but the stuff pops up all the time on my phone so just curious when I would qualify?
  21. And that is good for TDIU but in my case SSDI was denied twice until the hearing where I paid for a vocational analysis by a licensed doctor. Yes 500 bucks seems like allot but if you haven’t looked around an IMO can run 10 k seriously what was asked of me, even when I was already rated at Tdiu and P And T...
  22. I feel your pain but it won’t be pyramiding you can have three disabilities tied in with your TBI rated rated separately as is my case. I have tinnitus at 10%, lightheadedness and dizziness(vertigo 30%), migraines at 50%, and 100% for my TBI and list they combined my TBI and PTSD even though my sTBI was 3 years before my first deployment to Afghanistan. I’m happy with what I’m getting so I’m done fighting for more. But when I was granted Unemployable at 70% Just for my TBI I refused to take well it’s permanent and total but since it wasn’t scheduler my family 1 year old and 3 year old with wife wouldn’t get at least Champva to help with medical during the Obamacare years....if it’s to forthcoming I’d say private message me your exam. I’ll tell you if you should file for an increase I’ve only appealed once took 6 years, before I noticed why not file for an increase get exam within 30-60 days whatever it is and bring my evidence into The exam. Which I would have took to an appeal instead but to the doctor let him make his conclusions very weighty. I’m only 34 with two kids and a wife, I’ve been P and T for just 4 years and just had my review and found nothing new that will change my rating. I have no idea with the current speed of appeals but if your not Worried about backpay just file an Increase if it’s TBI related they will look at Everything so don’t fret. They did it to me 2 to 3 times for each of my 8 ratings in 2 years.
  23. Here’s a quick question I myself had to have two. One before my TBI review and one after and then another TbI review. To possibly seperate the issues. Every doctor said they should be and the last doctor even gave percentages of which was my TBI and which was my PTSD and still no separation so I gave up. Not sure if you have a few conditions tied into your claim and they can’t seperate or if it’s just one that the first exam wasn’t thorough enough for the Va to dish out their rating. But goodluck
  24. Actually it’s been months since I looked at my disability side other then sending my docs messages I rarely look at it. I just was like new disability listed information and was like well that’s new to me and I looked over the 231 pages they collected for review well I didn’t open all of them. I haven’t filed a claim since my increase for my migraines which was raised from 0 to 50% in 2018...Apparently it’s just a standard review no decision will be mailed
  25. Regulatory and procedure review 23 of April closed 30th with 117 pages in the file tab. Then one open on the 24 still pending review my claim for SMC with 114 documents in review.... couldn’t have lockdown Burdens with my RO closed since March who the hell is doing the reviewing and it sounds as if I didn’t have to stress about something else in life right now. What in the hell is going on?
