Hi everyone This is my first post and I have a lot of issues regarding the VA/Army. Sorry if it seems long i will try and keep it as short and simple.Thanks in advance. Problem 1; i was in the Army from 4/2000-11/2006 I was deployed to Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq. while in Iraq in 05-06 I was hit by 17 IED's along with other things. on the last 3 IED's (all within a week) I was knocked out all three times.. the last being the worst 3/2006. I was sent back to Walter Reed with Traumatic Brain Injury (tbi) where I was for about 3 days then put on a plane back to FT Drum with a IV in my arm and still on Morphine. When I got to Drum were they don't have a hospital they took my IV out and sent me to the barracks. I don't remember any of this this is what was told to me by friends and my MOM who drove to FT Drum that night and took over my care..got me in a brain rehab center in my home town ( Near FT Drum) and helped me threw my 9 month rehab. during my rehab my ETS came and the Army just discharged me out of the army. No mmrb/meb. After rehab and I recovered somewhat from the TBI joined the Army Reserve with a bonus . After serving awhile in the Reserve I was told I was no longer able to because of my TBI and a P3 profile for TBI and the just transferred me to the IRR. Are they able to do that?? Now they want my bonus back and are trying to garnish my wages. Is this allowed? I mean I was Wounded serving in Iraq how can they do this? What can I do to get a medical discharge from the IRR? if that is possible ?? Problem 2; I made a claim with the VA in 8/2008 for my ptsd,back,ears and TBI. I waited for about a year not hearing anything from then and I called and they said that the claim was closed because there was no evidence of the conditions. but they do admit there was a claim opened. They never sent me to C&P exam or anything so I opened another claim in 9/2010 the claim they are still working on now for the same things. Last month I got a rating for post concussive headaches (30%) Lower Back (20%) and tinnitus (10%) and my old claim of TBI(10%) with they TBI increase deferred and PTSD differed. I called the VA yesterday and they said that the 2 deferred claims are now in the notification phase as of 2/15/12. What does that mean and how long does it take? will they back pay me to the opened claim in 2008 that they messed up and never did? Thanks in Advance I am so lost and feel helpless with all of this
