  1. C&Ps were done in October and November. They have their VCAA notice of response letter (which was submitted more than once). Not my first rodeo but still aggravating!!!
  2. They did add some items that I re-submiited to the e-benefits page. They even acknowledged that I sent a copy of a certified mail receipt of previous submission. Took them 6 weeks to post it but it is at least there.
  3. I've not heard anything and I have no scars for them to photograph. Never heard of anyone getting a photo shoot out of the deal!
  4. Change of Status: We determined that your claim needed additional review. If additional evidence is needed from you, you will receive a letter from us explaining what is needed. My status shows Gathering of Dust. What does this additional review mean anyhow? I've not received any letter or request. Who is reviewing?
  5. It find it weird that this form is "missing" as it was sent with a binder of materials that also includes other unemployability info letter from workplace etc. I have USPS receipt from mailing the binder back in June. I believe everything was actually filed in March 12. I think I was call VSO and see what she has to say.
  6. They used them in the 70s too Orlando Boot Camp. I did ask to be tested with most recent blood test.
  7. Excellent idea on the outside of envelope. I've heard stories of mail room issues.
  8. Just curious as to why this is still in gathering of evidence stage, when the page states: What Did We Not Receive? This is a list of items that have never been received from you and that have been closed. If it is CLOSED--does not not mean it is no longer able to be submitted? Several items on the list have been submitted but are listed. What the heck type of evidence are they gathering if the C&Ps are done? Nothing really left to gather.....
  9. Any way to read that attachment link for pdf? It is10-12 responses up. The format to tell the VA to "move along".
  10. My exams were done 2.5 hours away in another VISN. What form do I use to send in to request a release of my C&P exams?
  11. I have a handful of green post office cards from VA Cleveland. Everything is sent return receipt.
  12. What VA form do I use for said request?
  13. Is snail mail best or can I fax to VARO?
  14. My e-benefits deal shows that crazy making gathering of evidence phase still. I had C&Ps in October and November. I note that it says my file is missing the 29-8940 Unemployability Form. This was submitted with my binder of info in March 2012. Is it misplaced? Floating around the Cleveland VA Office? Does issue need to be addressed or is it just another e-benefits SNAFU?
  15. I had C&P exams in October and November. One was held in Parma, OH done by an IME at the Outpatient Clinic. The other was at Wade Park by a VA Doctor which is part of the Louis Stokes Center in Cleveland. Where do I send a request for copies of my C&P Exams? I live in Northwest Ohio 2.5 hours from Cleveland. This area VA is a bit unusual in that my local Community-Based Clinic is actually part of another VISN--Ann Arbor, Michigan. I need the info from Cleveland which is in charge of Ohio Claims. Toledo, Ann Arbor and Cleveland rarely know what the other is doing.... Is there a place to fax in request? If I mail it do I mail separate requests to Wade Park and Parma?
  16. Thank you! Thank you! I wanted to use a reference statement written for me by a VA counseling psycholigist when I was employed as his work study student in 1980-1980. I had a claim back then but knew that I had succeeded. I wanted to use this glowing reference statement to show that even though I was 50% and 10%= 60% combined I was still a very productive member of society. Excellent grades, recommends me for employment, etc. I thought this might be similar to the buddy letter concept. It is a snipet in time. 30 years later as medical problems have escalated- I can show the difference. Just wanted to be sure I was actually at 50 since I am going for 70. Good job for a vet in need of an answer!!
  17. It appears that my rating increased on one issue from 30 to 50. The issue with my back injury stayed at 10%. So it was at 40% combined and went to 60% combined but on which date listed above? Without rating table it is difficult to tell.
  18. I am trying to figure out exactly what my rating was in 1980 through 1982. At the time I was in a dispute with the VA over a rating. In 1982 I received a letter that stated: Monthly Amount Beginning Date $321.00 01/03/1980 $327.00 10/01/1980 $413.00 10/01/1981 $443.00 10/01/1982 When I go to the VA page and try to get to rating tables I can not get beyond 1999 - even when I click "prior". There is nothing on the letter which states the actual rating. It would be as a single, unmarried veteran. I am trying to determine if it was @ 30% or 50% or 60%. Did the percentage change over the dates or was this the time period when they raised the rates beyond a COLAincrease. I know this is 30 years ago....can you assist?
  19. I am not certain of the DC numbers as much of this documentation is from the 1970s (and on either the old onion skin paper or the old computer paper with holes in the side). I have a notice from 1979 that states at that time my award was reduced. It lists only exact words--- Condition Prior% New% Nervous 50 10 Back 10 10 Benign 0 0 Postural Vertigo It seems to me (and obviously I am not an expert)--but if it is listed as 0% that it is a rated condition. My original question was that I wondered how a rater could decide to roll the vertigo into another condition. The vertigo was next rolled into an anxiety rating and was never again rated seperately.
  20. 6204 Peripheral vestibular disorders: Dizziness and occasional staggering......................................................................... 30 Occasional dizziness................................................................................................. 10 Note: Objective findings supporting the diagnosis of vestibular disequilibrium are required before a compensable evaluation can be assigned under this code. Hearing impairment or suppuration shall be separately rated and combined. Yes-this is probably the correct item. I have medical documentation for it having numbers tests and several hospitalizations while in service as they were not certain why this was happening in addtion to a number of the other symptoms about 2 weeks after a Swine Flu vaccine. Benign Postional Vertigo and Back Pain were the two items originally listed. In 1979 Addendum to Statement of the Case: " Ratings Decision evaluated the veteran's anxiety neurosis and benign postural vertigo as one disability as the symptology of the conditions could not be seperated'.
  21. I have going thru some old documents 1977 as I prepare some new. When I was discharged it was for benign positional vertigo and back pain caused by lumbar punctures. In 1979 they added a rating for anxiety but opted to roll the vertigo with the end ear organ disease into one item. I was too frightened of the bureaucracy at the time to challenge it. Shouldn't they be seperated and rated as seperate conditions?
