  1. I have suffered from migraines for the past 10 years. Over the last two they have become increasingly worse increasing from 1-3 per month to daily. I’ve tried 11 different medications to include botox and other treatments, but nothing seems to works besides a combination of medication that makes me sleep most of the day away. I went to a C&P for an increase for my migraines and this is what the doctor wrote. Does the veteran have very frequent prostrating and prolonged attacks of migraine headache pain? Yes Does the veteran’s headache condition impact her ability to work? Yes Veteran has not work since last Aug because she cannot maintain a 40 hour work week. Vet work for the federal government and is currently on LWOP. Pt can work physical or sedentary work based on migraine headaches with the ability to be allowed to be excused from work as frequently as weekly due to a migraine headache and the resultant nausea/emesis, pain and poor concentration. I am currently on LWOP while OPM adjudicates my OPM disability claim. I put in a claim for an increase for migraines so I can apply for IU. I’m currently at 40%. I don’t understand how I’m able to work when I have a migraine 3 days a week. Who is going to hire me and allow me to be excused from work weekly? I know in order to get granted 50% it has to show that a veteran has frequent migraines and has a financial hardship. I feel that his statement is saying that I am choosing not to work which is not the case. Do you think that his statement hurt my chances of getting a 50% rating?
