  1. Casey, I suggest you go to a civilian Neurologists. My experiences with VA Neurologists are bad. Make sure you tell the civilian Neurologist all your concerns. GOD BLESS
  2. Casey, do you have a copy of the DBQ for Parkinson's? If so, is any other disabilities listed such as upper and lower extremities, constipation etc. Thirty percent is the maximum for Parkinson's diagnoses then the secondaries are added. I have been rated for several secondaries. GOD BLESS
  3. Casey, On my agent orange claim my DBQ for Parkinson's listed depression and sleep deprivation separately and when I was awarded 90 percent, the break down was 30 percent for Parkinson's and 30 percent for depression and sleep deprivation combined plus the other disabilities arms legs etc. They are rating you wrong. Did you have a DBQ? GOD BLESS
  4. Filed AO claim for Parkinson's Nov. 2010-approved for 90% effective May 2011, Filed for TDIU Mar. 2012-approved with an effective date for Aug. 2011, Appealed Parkinson's decision for EED and was approved for 30% with an effective date of Sept. 1, 2010. Last day employed due to Parkinson's May 19, 2010. Approved for Disability Social Security with an effective date of Nov. 1, 2010. VA had SSDI award when they made the Parkinson's award. My thought process is very limited with the Parkinson's and I need to know if VA should have paid me TDIU starting Nov 1 2010, the date I was awarded SSDI. SSDI award was for Neurological Disability. On the 30% for EED for Parkinson's they approved for Parkinson's only, no residuals. I hope this isn't confusing. GOD BLESS Warren
  5. Berta, I believe you have a wealth of knowledge concerning claims made to VA, If I may I have a question concerning IU. I was T&P disabled by the Social Security dept. in Nov 2010 due to Neurological Disability and VA awarded me IU effective Aug. 1, 2011 due to Parkinson's. Should I have been back paid to Nov. 2010 by the VA for IU. May God Bless you for helping Veterans in need. GOD BLESS Warren
  6. Berta, you triggered it !. I finally took your advice, I sent NVLSP a letter with all details and they responded. Thank you Berta, the Parkinson's is in the early fourth stage and I no longer have the mental or physical ability to continue the fight. I saw your comment about Jesus, he has been my strength for several years. GOD BLESS Warren
  7. Berta, we have had several conversations concerning an EED for Parkinson's. I filed a claim in 2002 for a neurological disorder with diagnosed parkinson's residuals. I have been fighting VA myself for an EED but now NVLSP is interested in determining whether the VA made an error regarding my compensation for parkinson's. Do you think this is very favorable? I could only get them to go back to 8/31/10. GOD BLESS Warren
  8. Ms. Berta, this award is from our hearts! I didn't know how to proceed with my claim but by reading your post I learned how and we won. I'm still fighting for retroactive compensation and I believe I will win, only because of your help. GOD BLESS Warren
  9. I sent my pcp a secure message, stating that four of my medications had zero refills and one of them was hydrocodone 5mg and it was discontinued without notifying me. One thing that gripes me is the VA doesn't know what my disease and other Veterans Disease's are doing to our bodies, unless they have the same disease. Like the old saying states, YOU DON'T KNOW UNTIL YOU WALK IN MY SHOES. I believe they don't care how much we suffer. Even the specialist, say a neurologist, when you tell them of secondary complaints of chronic fatigue, chronic pain or can't sleep at night etc. they don't believe that they are affecting you to the point where you become useless to your family, can't do physical work, wake up every night with terrible pain and can't go back to sleep, can't drive and the most important to me of not having the energy to play with my Grand Children. Chronic pain, fatigue and lack of sleep are the three major complaints off 50% of individuals with parkinson's yet they won't believe you. Enough complaining. I'll continue to live my life by Faith. GOD BLESS Warren
  10. Berta, The report states that it was a MRI not EKG. I just noticed this and I haven't questioned the Hospital. Berta, I don't know what's going on with my heart. Here's something else strange, went to see a Civilian Cardiologists with a good reputation two months ago, he did EKG told my wife and I that I had a previous heart attack, heart electrical problem, slow heart rate of 50 and two bad valves. Had a stress test (no walking) same as VA and the civilian and VA stress test came back normal. Something else strange, in 2001, had a cath. that showed two 50% blockages and two 30% blockages. Since 13 years have past, it seems to me the blockages would be a lot worse by now. I believe that if they would let me walk on tread mill, my mind would be eased. If you get back to me, I'll be taking a nap. Parkinson's makes me very fatigued and right now It is very hard for me to do anything, even think correctly. After my rest, I'll get back to you. One more thing, I stay fatigued and the VAMC diagnosed me with chronic fatigued syndrome and I tried to make it secondary to parkinson's but was denied. Now I'm thinking heart problems are causing fatigue, just a thought. Berta, thank you and may God Bless you and family. GOD BLESS
  11. Berta, I forgot to answer your other questions sorry. Yes the C&P was specifically for IHD and my appeal time is over. Thank You!
  12. Berta, It states: West Virginia University Hospital (I was there for Parkinson's) Test ind: MRI 09/12/2007 The report has four lines going across the page. with each line having up and down and some what straight lines This is listed on the page: Sinus rhythm Inferior wall myocardial infarction of indertermate age Early transition of posterior wall myocardial infarcion vent rate 67 BPM PR interval 162 ms QRS duration 96 ms QT/QTc 372/393 ms P-R-T axes 45 44 59 25mm/s 10mm/mV 150HZ 005E 12SL 233 cid:9 The Hospital didn't tell me about this. GOD BLESS
  13. I was giving a 10% award for IHD retroactive to 2002, for medication. I just discovered that the RO had evidence that I had Two Heart Attacks that I didn't know I had. I had a C&P and nothing was mentioned about the two previous Heart Attacks. Does this mean I should have received a higher percentage award.? Thanks for any advice. GOD BLESS
  14. boomer2, I gooogle PBMAX and it said maximum speech recognition score. at least 50 words should be used to estimate the speech level. GOD BLESS

  16. I filed a claim for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome as secondary to parkinson's. They called me in for C&P and Doctor diagnosed me with CFS, stating that fatigue is debilitating, constant and almost totally restricts veteran of routine daily activities. Veteran cannot do any yard work, no repairs around house, cannot participate in any recreational activities. He sits at home at all times, and when he goes out to a medical appointment, he becomes even more exhausted and has to go to bed afterwards. Symptoms: Generalized muscle aches, generalized weakness, joint pain, sleep disturbance and forgetfulness and sore throat. Doctor states that these symptoms are frequent or constant. Employment History: Veteran had to retire because of medical problems-parkinson's and chronic fatigue syndrome. ARE THERE EFFECTS OF THE PROBLEM ON USUAL DAILY ACTIVITIES: yes CHORES: Prevents SHOPPING: Prevents EXERCISE: Prevents SPORTS: Prevents RECREATION: Prevents. TRAVELING: Severe FEEDING: Prevents BATHING: Severe DRESSING: Moderate TOILETING: Moderate GROOMING: Moderate DIAGNOSIS: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Diagnosed 2/25/2013 Has the criterion of new onset of debilitating fatigue that is severe enough to reduce or impair average daily activity below 50 percent of the patient's pre-illness activity level for a period of 6 months been met? Yes Has the criterion that other clinical conditions that may produce similar symptoms have been excluded by thorough evaluation, based on history, physical examination, and appropriate laboratory tests been met? yes Have at least 6 of the 10 chronic fatigue syndrome diagnostic criteria been met? Yes In-person examination. Evidence review: VA claims file review? yes Medical opinion for secondary service connection: The claimed condition is less likely than not (less than 50 percent probability) proximately due to or the result of the veteran's service connected parkinson's disease. Provide rationale in section c. C. Rationale: The veteran has well established parkinson's disease, producing symptoms since the late 1990's. He also has classical chronic fatigue syndrome, which has virtually debilitated him. His debilitating fatigue and associated symptoms are not manifestations of his parkinson's disease. The reason I'm showing all of this, Is that I put in a claim for housebound and the RO has ask for medical evidence to back up my claim for housebound. CAN I USE THIS C&P AS MEDICAL EVIDENCE? Thanks for any advice. GOD BLESS
  17. I filed a claim for SMC (s) Housebound (Vietnam Vet diagnosed with Parkinson's and VA Neurologist says that It's his opinion that I have had parkinson's for at least 15 years) in my claim for housebound I asked for retroactive pay back 9-01-2010, the date my award was granted. I also received award for TDIU, total and permanent with no future exam. I'm wondering why they have SMC (s) CUE on E-benefits. Could they be cueing their self? I contacted my DAV rep. and he doesn't know why and he said he would check on it. Any ideas? GOD BLESS
  18. John, I like good clean humor, had a good laugh. Thanks GOD BLESS
  19. Went to ENT after hearing test and was told that test showed that I can only hear or understand (can't remember which one) 50% of a conversation. This might be why my lovely wife gets upset with me. Also, I can't hear high pitch sounds. I'm not filing claim just getting hearing aids. I just want to hear from other Veterans that have hearing problems, if my hearing problem is moderate or severe. GOD BLESS
  20. I don't completely understand the special monthly compensation. I believe aid and attendance would replace housebound and your payment would be higher. I believe you can receive training to take care of shakey and be paid for it. go to the va site or asknod.com and look up special monthly compensation. Tell Shakey, that God loves him and God has prepared a place for individuals that believe (faith) a 100% in the Gospel of Christ (plus nothing else), They will be no more suffering and I'm looking forward to that. Please, see www.lesfeldick.com GOD BLESS
  21. My Soul aches for all my brothers in this situation. Please visit lesfeldick.org. GOD BLESS
  22. I'm Happy for you my Friend! Yes God is great! May I suggest that you get into the Word and see lesfeldick.org on the internet. This is what I did and it can help. GOD BLESS
  23. Berta, I have no way of scanning. I just received the rating decision of March 17, 2003, two days ago. I haven't filed a claim with the VA yet on the wrong diagnostic code of 8513, that should have been 8004. After I received an award for PD in 2011, I have filed two claims for EED but not based on wrong diagnostic code. GOD BLESS .
