  1. Got my letter today. They did give me the 2004 effective date for my breathing issues. Even though my overall rating didn't increase, I am going to receive some substantial retro. Good news
  2. Thank you for the response, broncovet. I'm just worried because they gave me a 2017 effective date at 30% for graves disease about 10 months ago but since I've been IU P&T l00% since 2016, I got no retro for graves. Now for some crazy reason they lumped in my lung issues as secondary to graves disease. Looks shady. Anyways, when I get the official award letter I will post an update Thanks again.
  3. My question is should I be worried that the varo added my lung issues as secondary to graves disease in regards to possible retro money? I've had breathing and thyroid issues, along with a list of other things since my desert storm days. My appeal had been ongoing since 2004 and recently granted and closed by Bva. For some crazy reason they gave me a 2017 effective date for graves disease and a 2004 date for my breathing issues secondary to graves. I don't get it. They are to separate issues. So am I going to get retro back to 2004 on the breathing issues? By the way, I haven't got my award letter yet, just going off of ebenefits info.
  4. Yeah my varo is out of los angeles. Was surprised to hear back so soon. They combined 4 issues into 2. Gave me 30% for one and 0% on the other. Didn't change my rating. Was hoping for 100% schedular Not surprised tho
  5. Christie, I heard back today from varo. They lowballed me as expected. Hope yours goes better.
  6. I'm in the same boat. Bva appeal granted and closed on 6/12/20. Haven't heard or received anything yet. Good luck with yours.
  7. My Dr at the VA clinic helped me set up the account right there in the lobby. No credit checks, no hassles.
  8. I get all that broncovet. I actually feel the same way. I only shared that screen shot because I had never seen that before and was wondering if anyone had ever seen that before. I imagine it had to be an error on the va.gov site.
  9. I know, I've never seen it before either. But I copied it directly from va.gov while I was looking at my commissary letter. If you reread what I copied and pasted it states specifically to bring the dd 2765 along with your dd 214 and award letter. Like I said before, I've never see it before either and thought I'd ask if anyone has seen it
  10. Thanks. As stated earlier, I have the brown dd 2765 already. But what I was asking about was the specific instructions in bringing in your dd 2765 along with with other paperwork to receive retired military id card. I had never seen those instructions before, so that's why I was asking.
  11. Didn't know where to post this question, so please forgive me if it's in the wrong place. Anyways, I was looking through my letters via va.gov and noticed the instructions for the commissary. When I received IU PT at 90% I obtained a dd2765 ID card to access the px and commissary. So my question is are we entitled to a retired military ID card if we reach 100% scheduler? The instructions below confused me a little. Thanks in advance for any info.
  12. Thanks broncovet, that's what I figured. What's a few more months after 16 years
  13. Thank you. I copied the info on va.gov last night. Ebenefits hadn't updated yet. It was a bva appeal that had been remanded a couple times. Hopefully this 16 years on and off the wheel are coming to an end soon
  14. Looks like my appeal and remands dating back to 2004 are finally coming to an end. Thank God I was already 90% IU PT before these last 3 or 4 issues with my lungs and heart. Va.gov shows the appeal granted in my favor and closed as of yesterday. Nothing on ebenefits yet, just shows the prior disabilities and ratings. How long do you guys think the new changes will take to appear in my ebenefits? I'm assuming I will receive my letter in the next month or two. Anyways thanks in advance for any info or opinions
  15. Oh oh, va.gov is showing ssoc mailed to me on 6/19/19. Haven't received it yet, rating hasn't changed and no extra monies received. Have a feeling it's bad news.
  16. I had a remand in Sept 2017. Got the exams done in april and may of 2018. Haven't heard squat since.
  17. 2 more months have passed and haven't heard squat on the remands. Got a feeling this is definitely going into next year. Bummer but not surprising tho.
  18. Thanks Berta. No I never obtained the c&ps. However on advice from broncovet I learned from my vet serv rep that other issues were "deferred". So a lil more waiting time is in order.
  19. Thanks broncovet. I'm going to talk to my vet service rep later today. The same Dr did 3 exams 6 months ago. This letter only addressed one specific issue. As a matter of fact, this is the final paragraph on the letter: "This rating decision represents a full and final determination of this issue on appeal. As such, this issue is considered resolved in full."
  20. Thanks vetquest. Yeah I thought that was weird too. Was hoping to see all isues adressed at once. No money they just bumped my rating up 10%.
  21. A lil background first. I've had an ongoing appeal with 5 medical issues since 2004. It was remanded and new c&ps were done 6 months ago. I got an award letter today for 1 of the 5 issues. The letter only addressed the 1 issue and did not make reference to the other 4. So my question is if that's normal? Will I be receiving separate letters for the other issues? Thanks in advance.
  22. I will. Thanks. Appreciate all the info.
