  1. Hi Everyone, My first post on this board, though I have read many for the past year or so. Great forums and source of info. I more or less share Wiley's view, but, get Carlie's point, too. Not sure whether the blogger is/is not a fraud, but, believe he has a point. One thing I have come away with in reading this site and others and the news is- a big problem, a main complaint with the VA, with vets benefits is- the delay in getting them. Whether it involves timely health care or adjudication of claims I think one cause for the delays is the numbers of claims filed are those that probably should not be filed- in short, bogus or fraudulent. One example made by the blogger involved a wart. I know of a veteran who has a purple heart because he was 'wounded' in the neck by a piece of hot brass that hit him when his buddy fired his M-16 at the enemy during a firefight. Because of this the vet is now a Cat 3 vet and eligible for VA health bens of other PH/Cat3 vets. I think the vast majority of vets are seeking health care that they deserve and benefits that they are entitled to. I also believe that there are vets who are making it their career to 'milk the system'. Those guys need to be weeded out. They add to the delay in processing legit claims and cost resources and money. In my view they are thieves and not honrable veterans. lg
