  1. Schedular not P&T .. I had to call and get the commissary letter as it never showed up.
  2. Got the BBE today and figured out why the effective date is June 2013. They rated me 10% for the Thyroid until June :/ stating the reason was the date my doctor completed the DBQ... Go figure lol
  3. pretty accurate in my case so far lol but of course I don't have BBE yet...
  4. Thanks :) I am so trying to remain calm especially when it was completely unexpected lol
  5. They will rate/decide them all at once; however, some can be deferred while decisions are made on others.
  6. Mine just closed out..... I posted in the success stories :)
  7. 14 months to the day..... Claim closed today. I snuck in to check my AB8 letter. My new contention was Hypothyroidism which I figured the MOST I would get would be 60% for that which would put me combined at 80%. I was OK with that... Checked my letter and to my shock.... Combined Evaluation 100 percent I don't even know what to feel at this point. I was NOT expecting this at all. I am grateful that is for sure. I am just baffled by the Effective date which reads June 1, 2013 (I filed this claim August 10, 2012). I don't know if it is a fluke and I will not plan for anything until I receive my letters in the mail. CHEERS!!!
  8. lol so to make this even funnier.... I went from Prep for Decision to Prep for notification in one day... Not too sure I have a good feeling about it especially since it was since everything went "offline"
  9. I am kind of excited to see how long I stay in this phase kind of like a game at this point... Good luck you two!!
  10. I have been in Prep for Decision since July lol I have learned it never means anything until it is done *sigh*
  11. I was seen all my life by a Nurse Practioner in our family clinic - loved her and she was damn good. We were always well taken care of. For the last 7 years, I was out of the VA system and using private "doctors" ... that got me nowhere and minimal treatment. Why? because they herd you like cattle and spend 5 minutes with you and tell you "oh you will be ok". I have done it for a long time. My experience with my VA treatment has been positive so far. I am seen by a female "doctor" but her nurse team does most of my work. I had more treatment/tests completed in one visit than I had in 7 years of "doctors". I believe there is a misconception around but to each their own. I will give anyone a chance, if you aren't good then I will say so. I have had more problems with "doctors" than I ever had with any treating Nurse Practioners.
  12. Thanks Pete - exactly as I thought - much later than my discharge lol go figure
  13. I was always told your injuries had to be combat related for the severance not to be deducted (and that was effective way after I was discharged).
  14. If that were true, then I got hosed in 2003.. .considering I had 2 periods of service 1992 - 1994 AND 2000 to 2003... they still took my severance: all 18,000 of it.
  15. TY Hoppy! I will be filing this next as a secondary to the thyroid; however, at the same time I will be filing my husbands mental health issues as a new claim (he has multiple diagnosis). Still waiting on a copy of his records as I have mine already.... I will be referring to this thread :)
