  1. I'm now 70% Service-Connected combined for several SC disabilities - my TBI (40% rating) claim for heat stroke/brain trauma and multiple concussions while in heat stroke/brain trauma the Effective date is 2008. I have about 10-20 claims pending before the VA Appeals. My migraines are rated at 30%. So I will continue to march on from here towards maximizing my VA benefits.
  2. How was your IME with Dr. Steingart? Were you pleased with the results? Did he/his office help your VA disability claims? And, if yes, in what specific ways do you think this doctor helped you out on your VA disability claims? And, does Dr. Steingart do VA disability IME's to service-connect veterans for heat exhaustion/stroke and/or sunstroke and the residuals/secondary effects? my service records directly show I sustained heat exhaustion and my service records also show my army NG captain verified just a few months later i was still suffering from severe heat stroke issues, but dr. ellis said it was much more likely heat stroke or a combination of heat stroke/exhastion due to the many amount of IV bags they pumped into me and the attending doctor's lack of regard/tests to help my heat stress. 3. in my va medical files my treating military doctor said in his report that i had heat exhaustion in summer NG training, and a few months later i was still suffering major side effects of heat and my NG captain directly stated in his report i was suffering from residual effects of heat stroke. so, my NG captain said i had residual effects of heat stroke, and the treating doctor said heat exhaustion. during my IME, dr. ellis stated in his exam/report that i sustained heat exhaustion/stroke or a combination of the two combined and dr. ellis listed about 6 things my attending doctor did wrong in treating me for the heat. i went to the BVA and the judge recently approved to remand about 9 of my claims, and i just got that package this week. anybody else have heat related injuries in service? and what type of residual effects do you suffer from?
  4. i found a few doctors on www.imenet.com in surrounding states around oklahoma and i've reached out and emailed each of them individually asking them if the did va disability independent medical opinions and what could the possible fees be...
  5. ime.net was not working on google search My service connected hearing loss and major tinnitus aggravate my problems of anxiety, aggravate his problems of depression and paranoia. tinnitus aggravates problems of sleep disorders since the ringing keep him from getting to bed in a timely manner then staying asleep comes on a off due to the ears ringing. taking ambien aggravates my sleep apnea from taking ambien i to try and sleep erratically and then my depression and further weight gain from taking anti-depressants further aggravates my inactivity/weight gain and therefore aggravates my sleep apnea issues further. my service connected hearing loss and major tinnitus aggravates problems of dizziness and vertigo. tinnitus aggravates my problems of headaches. my service connected hearing loss and major tinnitus aggravate my problems to include major depression anxiety and paranoia and sleep disorders which also cause me to have erratic sleep schedules and all these factors combined interfere with my ability to get and keep substantial gainful employment. tinnitus is aggravating my sleep time and keeping me awake at times much longer than i should be up so when i get up during the next day it's usually too late to go to a job well rested and keep substantial gainful employment. aggravated hypertension? per veterans corner the VA has been approving some claims where the veteran was service connected for hearing loss with rational being that hypertension can be caused by these conditions... back at the end of 2010 one of the factors that i lost my job at the postal service was due to sleeping on the job on and off due to lack of rest and being sleepy during my shift. in 2012 i tried a part-time temp job job as a shipping clerk at a oil/gas valve company for about 5-6 months and i was sleeping on the job on and off plus i was getting such a lack of sleep i wasn't getting up in time to bathe before i went to the job so they fired me for sleepiness and hygiene i think but they just told the staffing agency i was no longer needed. the va sent me to a sleep study again i think in 2012 or 2-013 and i flunked the test so i was put on a cpap. the cpap slightly helps on and off but my tinnitus keeps me awake so till my tinnitus subsides i cannot even think of putting the cpap on to try and rest...

  8. hi...can you all recommend a doctor or some doctors of Otolaryngology or Otology in oklahoma or texas who do independent medical exams for disabled veterans with hearing loss and tinnitus secondary aggravated issues??? i've seen 4 different audiologists and 2 were by the va system and none of them can examine/diagnose me with secondary issues related to hearing loss and tinnitus nor can they complete the necessary va disability paperwork for these secondary issues. i currently get va disability for hearing loss and tinnitus now i need some help on the secondary issues. thank you.
  9. I already receive 20% VA disability. My current goal is to earn 100% TDIU from my various health ailments that began during the Army. I left the US Postal Service on disability in November 2010. I've been on SSDI since May 2011 and on FERS OPM disability since June 2012. My "older" claims are currently with a law firm from Maine and they have in place a hearing scheduled for me in the next 6-8 months before the VA judge, but I have several more pending claims before the VA and they have not decided on. Also, I need some assistance on getting a doctor referral so I can get a brain scan, so I can add the findings to my VA claims file...Help?. I requested my C-file again from the military so I'm waiting on that to arrive. I'm thinking to use the Ellis Clinic In Okla City and/or Health Information Services in Houston for my IME. Thoughts on getting 100% TDIU?
