  1. The DRO called me confirming rating into affect, letter being mailed today, retro will hit within 10 days.
  2. UPDATE: rating put into affect this morning after contacting Allison Hickey who contacted the head of the Oakland RO.
  3. She's definitely a saint! She deserves her credit as do all the veterans here in this forum who shared their experiences and recommended her or Bob. Thank you all for all you're helpful insight! Wishing the best of luck to those still fighting for what they deserve. It's amazing what can be done if you just don't give up and stay proactive. Add me to the ranks of living proof!
  4. UPDATE: after emailing Ms. HICKEY I received a letter 2 days later from the head of the oakland ro stating she'd have her experts look into my claim and expedite it and roughly an hour later I checked ebennies which now reflects my 100% rating will be receiving my retro in a matter of days.
  5. I want to thank everyone real quick for shedding light and sharing their responses this forum is so useful and provides relief from feeling uneducated or alone going about the wonderful VA process.
  6. Hmm I wonder what's holding mine up then. The only dates mentioned is that they dated 70% back to Jan 2013 when I originally filed and 100% back to July of last year. Sticking tight hopefully I'll have an answer soon. Asknod I didn't notice your post earlier but my retro even roughly estimated will only be somewhere between 10k-20k
  7. So the DRO has the authority to sign off and authorize a rating decision to go into affect? If so Im wondering why it's not updating in the system... I was under the impression more signatures were needed.
  8. TiredCoastie it was dated Jan 5th and I received it on the 7th. I'm not a retiree so that would not be a part of my issue. Ebenies is showing absolutely no update to the appeal or AB8 letter, nor does it show that they sent out the SOC it just says no data. The two awards before this one were immediately updated as was the retro deposited. This time proves to be different. I contacted Allison Hickey through email to see if she can bring about a solution if not next step is contacting Bob. I'll just keep pressing on until success.
  9. Gastone, as I spoke with my lawyer it was to my understanding that we requested an informal hearing. I don't know if it was miscommunication but I never received one. Wish I would have I'm not very much for leaving success up to technology I'd rather been in person.
  10. And giving us a hard time they love to do! I am a lot less stressed knowing I have 100% for now. I am with you on the rambling it's needed at times.. I just would like for it to all be over with once and for all.
  11. I chose to go with a DRO de novo review. I received my SOC Jan 5th denied for IU but it says I was granted 100% rating from my 70% rating. I called the 800 number and I was told that even though the decision has been made the rating and retro pay will not go into affect until after 60 days. Has anyone else had similar experiences? I think it's kind of shitty how they can make the decision but I have to wait 2 more months to see a change in my monthly pay as well as overall rating. Other veterans and my attorney both told me that I should expect to see it any day but Peggy says otherwise. I wanted to add I noticed a lot of vets who went to dro hearings left knowing their award and retro amount, I did not have a hearing in my case it was simple just reviewed and decided without my knowing. Nothing has been updated I would recommend requesting a hearing for the purpose of leaving with knowing instead of wondering.
  12. Thanks again. My lawyers has already entered an appeal against the IU and benefits. Also I am at the hearing stage for SSDI.
  13. Thanks Rick. I'm hoping tomorrow it's in the bank. Praying so anyways. It isn't p&t just 100% I'm up for re evaluation in 2020. I believe it's because of my age I'm only 26 but I still appealed the IU. Hoping that it'll eventually be p&t so I can get more benefits for my kids. Thanks for sharing your experience
  14. I received a statement of case denying my IU but granting me 100% rating. It only took 2 years and 2 appeals but I'm here finally. I'm finally able to breathe again. I do want to ask has anyone else had the same experience receiving a statement of case? Should I expect an award letter still? And if so how long should it take for me to receive the award letter and retro pay? The soc is dated Jan 5 so I suspected as before I'd receive something in the next 5 days but I haven't received anything yet. Can anyone relate? Happy for the win. Best of luck to the rest of yall who still are fighting for what you deserve. Tip: write your congressman. My claim was decided within a month after my congressman contacted the VA
