I have my C & P exam on Monday, I am claiming hearing loss and tinnuitus and PTSD due to personal trauma, the trauma occured back in 1984. It wasn't until a year ago I found out I could get help through the VA for it and file a claim. I have had several instances of mental health problems both in the air force (with medical records ) and after discharge. My question is I noticed on one of my records at a local hospital the Psychiatrist wrote down I had a suicide attempt as a teen, before Air Force, that is not true, what I told her was I took too much medicide once as a teen, as an accident, never even had any lasting harm from it, she took it as an attempt. I had other insticances of suicide attempts since the incidence, have a long MH hx but not well documented. Now, my question is this: Should I point out the mistake in the C & P exam? It wasn't much noticible just one line, but it is there. I am just wondering if I should tell the examiner I never had suicide attempts before the incident and not even open that possibility of them seeing it. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. sorry for any spelling errors, I am getting nervous and it is getting hard to get my thoughts out let alone spell correctly. More info, I am married for 20 years, work full time and have 4 kids, I am able to function but have a devil of time with it at times. thanks for input
