  1. Thank you NavyWife, I appreciate you looking. I didn't know if any other information could be extracted from that... In other news my claim is about to reach its first birthday. I'm thinking about taking it to Chuck E Cheese's.
  2. Berta? NavyWife? I found my diagnostic code. It's "VA - 6006 - type 6080, impairment to field of vision" Does that help?
  3. I called the 1-800 and number and was given the following information: Diagnostic code VA - 6006 - type 6080, impairment to field of vision Does this information help? A few of you asked for the diagnostic code(s). I think these are what was referred to.

  6. I looked for both a diagnostic code and an ICD code. I could not find anything labeled "diagnostic code" however I was able to find the following (I assume this is the ICD code): Retinitis pigmentosa (ICD-9-CM 362.74) -- does this help? I called the 1-800 number and supposedly my claim went to the decision phase about a week ago. Thank you in advance.
  7. Navy, I'm not sure what a rating code is. Where would I find that?
  8. Thank you NavyWife. I've gone over the CFR guide a couple times already and keeping coming up with 70%ish. But I'm not sure I'm interpreting the data correctly. I was hoping someone more knowledgable than myself (anyone here) could lend some insight. At the end of the day I know it's still just a waiting game.
  9. Hello everyone. I was finally able to sign up for MyHealthevet and download my medical records. Here are the "highlights" of my C&P exam. If anyone has any idea of what the rating may be, please let me know. I have no idea. 10. Thank you Navy. We've heard doctors and techs through out 100% like it was guaranteed... but then when we check the reg ourselves, it appears to be closer to 70%. It's difficult to plan whilst being in the dark (literally and metaphorically).

  12. Thank you NavyWife. I've since been updated to "Preparation for Decision" so I'm pretty sure they got everything. It's a waiting game from here. As for the exam results, my claim is so simple that I doubt there's very much that could be said about it (eye disease, very black and white as far as I understand). Thank you!
  13. Thanks John999. You're right. Like many other veterans on here, I can't help but speculate and wonder what's actually going on with my claim. It's such a mystery. I'm trying to be patient.
  14. So my claim finally moved to Prep for Decision. However I'm worried. In the beginning I mistakenly check marked the boxed labeled "No, I do not want VA compensation in lieu of retired pay.” However as I’ve been told, I should’ve NOT checked that box. I just sent an amendment (forms 21-651 for the checkbox update and 21-4138 for the explanation) today via fax AND snail mail. I was told this would not slow down my claim but now I'm worried. I'm in the home stretch and I don't want to mess anything up. You guys, I'm nervous!
