  1. Submitted claim for PTSD Nov 13. This past Thursday my DAV rep called me and notified me I won and rated 70% for ptsd 80% combined. He also stated retro date back to 2009 and to expect a nice chunk of change. Checked my ab8 letter and it states effective date 1Jan14. Wondering if he got me mixed up with one if his other Vets. I guess I'll wAit for the Envelope! What do you guys think? It was also a bitter sweet call. He stated the VA wants me to come back in and file for diabetes and high BP. I had no idea I had diabetes! Now it makes sense why I'm always extremely tired and shake on a daily basis. I remember seeing my personnel provider at the VA and had a full work up last year. I guess she didn't think it was important to notify me of the results. I will be going to her office first thing in the a.m! Gotta love that VA healthcare : / Thanks everyone for your help! God bless
  2. Went from "preparation for decision" to "pending decision approval" in one week. How long does it last in this stage? Does it mean they approved my claim?
  3. Went from preparation for decision to pending decision approval in one week. How long does it take in this stage? Does it mean they approved my claim?
  4. Do RO's work long hours or is it a 9-5 job? I heard they were working mandatory overtime plus working Saturdays...
  5. Thanks NavyWife...your awesome! Your knowledge is greatly appreciated
  6. Once a decision is made how fast do you usually receive payment?
  7. Hey Mike mine just jumped to Preparation for desicion
  8. Same here...glad the C&P is over with. Mine was pretty tough. I've heard of fellow vets exams lasting only minutes. Mine was 1.5 hours. Well now it's up to the VA. Hope you win Mike. Let me know when your status changes. Mine is still at the gathering evidence phase.
  9. Was yours at the VA or a civilian? Mine was a civilian. Do you know if they mail the exam in or upload it in the system?
  10. Had my CnP last week. My doc was a retired AF psy doc. 77 year old and he asked a lot of questions and pretty much grilled me! It lasted about 90min. He was very blunt but at the end of the exam told me that if they deny me it won't be because of him. He stated the VA is going to have a hard time with the evidence which there is none, but that he would do up a detailed letter along with my CNP exam and help me out. Praying it won't get denied...
  11. Currently I have a claim in for PTSD . I filed for this last November. I finally have my C and P scheduled for next Thursday. My question is, if I file for another claim ( fibromyalgia) now, will it slow down my process? My VA doc told me to go ahead and file now.
  12. Thank you! I used the guidelines on vet wow to file my claim.
  13. I have my CnP exam next week for ptsd via mst. Has anyone had success with this?
  14. LSI called me today and notified me that my C and P exam is scheduled for next week. Really nervous though but excited to get this over with. My claim is for Ptsd by mst. I heard its hard to get this approved.
  15. Did some more research. Looks like it is my CnP exam! It's a company called LHI who contacted me about my appointment.
  16. Thanks guys. Here is why I'm confused, I see my Psychologist at the VA in San Antonio on a regular basis. Every 4-6 weeks. Then this week I get a phone call from Wisconsin stating it was a firm working for the VA and they wanted to schedule an appointment for the PTSD claim I submitted. I asked if it was a CnP exam and he really didn't know what that was. So anyways I'm going to see a civilian Dr now....do they do CnP exams? It's not even in San Antonio! It's in San Marcos which is 30 min from here. Still confused here
  17. I filed for PTSD by MST back in September 13. They were giving me the run around about missing paperwork and stuff. This after confirming twice with them if they received it and they said yes. Well 2 weeks ago, after giving me another BS story I wrote a nasty email to them on Ebenefits via IRIS and stated I'm going to contact my congressmen for all the BS and lies they keep on feeding me. I received two brown envelopes this week...one to sign and return some paperwork and the second for a Mental eval with a civilian Dr! Do you all think it's my C and P exam? I sure hope so. Looks like my email worked! I have been diagnosed with MDD and PTSD and anxiety by a VA psychologist. Hopefully I get compensated...thank you all for your help and the guidelines on VetWow
  18. Should've asked her what is her damn problem! You are here to help the vets! I would definitely complain, threaten that you will report your treatment to the media. Glad you asked for another Dr. That is a bunch of crap! Hang in there Doc
  19. Submitted claim for PTSD by MST last November. They are requesting my military records. I guess they want to see if I was actually deployed to SWA where the assault took place. Well I pulled up my DD214 and none of my deployments are on there!!! I looked on ebenefits at my records and I was able to find my NCOER placing me in SWA during that time period! Is this suffice?
