  1. Carlie you were right! I got my BBE & it says: Original Award- Payment Start Date- 1 May 2013 Cost of Living Adjustment, Retired Pay Adjustment- 1 Dec 2013 Retired Pay Adjustment- 1 Sep 2014 It also says they are holding my benefits until the Retired Pay Center determines the withholdings from the VA should be retroactively adjusted. At first I couldn't figure where the VA got the 1 May 2013 date but then realized it is the month following my retirement month from the AF. So I really don't know what will happen once finance/retired pay center gets the info. I'll wait & see & post again when something happens! Thank you all for the info! -angela
  2. I don't understand. I retired from the AF in April 2013...and I filed my claim within a year of retirement. I thought I was supposed to receive retro (back) pay to my retirement (discharge) date..or at least to the date I submitted my claim to the VA. If I have to appeal (what is a NOD?) ...that could take months!
  3. All, I filed my FDC on 11 Dec 2013. Ebenefits has been up to date every step of my entire claim and it is now complete. I haven't received my BBE but I pulled all of my letters from Ebenefits. I have been rated at 70% (combined evaluation) with an effective date of Sept 1, 2014. My concern is whether or not I will be back paid to 11 Dec 2013- which is the date I hand-carried my claim package to the VA and received my time stamp. I very nearly went bankrupt waiting the 9 months for my rating. Thank you in advance :)
