  1. My experience with cleveland when I filed in Dec 2014 with paper copies is that they stamped and gave me a copy and the nice lady there stated it would go upstairs to be scanned by a contractor. Showed up about a week later on ebenefits.
  2. So much for transparency. The only way to get back veterans and the public trust is to have transparency...and when stories like this come out, it erodes the trust even more...
  3. Commissary is the grocery store, exchange is like our version of kmart, both on post. Both tax free, but you pay a small surcharge at the commisary. MWR is morale, welfare, and recreation. You can rent equipment, sign up for activities, etc.
  4. That is not the correct update. The update for that chapter is dated JUly 2013. instead of regurgitating info or copying the first parts of an article, why don't you provide your own synopsis along with analysis or move it to the proper forum instead of being lazy about it. Your first forays on the forum were relevant to this forum, but most of your recent posts belong in chat or social. my 2 cents.
  5. Thank you for everyone's knowledge on this site. BLUF: Retired on 12/1/14, filed FDC 12/1/14 in Cleveland, Ohio. Received a notice from the VA on 12/9 stating "we are requesting your service treatment records from the service department. You do not need to contact the service department yourself. If you have your service treatment records already in your possession, please submit them. Original records are preferable to copies." I submitted my medical records on 12/1/14 when I filed. Checked on Ebenefits today, and it stated the request was closed because I did not submit the required information. However, when I filed my FDC, I also submitted a copy of my medical records (to include civilian medical records since I was on active duty on tricare prime remote). Is this something I should concern myself with? Thanks in advance, DH
