  1. Same here. I have the Hartford RO director calling me daily with updates now. Things moving along. It's about time someone started doing something for us!
  2. Grrrrrrrr. They love to use mild, moderate, or severe when they rate nerves. Isn't that right on the DBQ? The doc didn't use that? What did the VA examiner state when they examined you for your nerves?
  3. LOL I hear you Berta. I had the director calling me and kissing my butt. I was like I don't need your pity just get my claims done so I can move on!
  4. I'm not sure if he wants to go the pay route yet. I'm trying to work his case for him but would like some eyes and ears on the ground. So to speak.
  5. LOL Berta I am awaiting my exam to become a claims agent as we speak. I wanted to wait until I had 100% on the schedule so they couldn't mess with my TDIU. I see the reps in VA but I don't want this guys getting another dud. She has been giving him wrong advice for some time now. He also had some new service connections he needs to file for and she told him "You don't need me, it's all electronic now. You can go on ebenefits and do it yourself". I was like yeah, you could do that all along, your own claims anyway. It's sad to see a young combat Veteran getting jerked around. Do your job VSO!!!!
  6. I had a Veterans group contact General Hickey for me. She contacted the director at the Hartford RO and after being on appeal for 15 years they are now starting to move some things for me. Not sure where it will lead but it's better than what I was dealing with prior. All good points Berta.
  7. Hi Everyone, I am working with an IRAQ combat Vet that needs a new VSO in Virginia. His current one is less than sub par. I am helping him as much as possible but I would like him to have a decent rep to be a go between with his RO. He is out in the sticks so I am looking for a VSO will be willing to work this remote so he doesn't have to drive hours to an office. Does anyone know of a good VSO in VA they can recommend? Thank you. Mike
  8. Thanks Navy04. I actually read the decision again this morning while less peed off. They stated I never appealed the neurological ratings after that 2013 decision or before. I specially wrote over 10 statements stating my ratings for both my legs were wrong from 2004 - present if not more. So they are full of crap again. Same BVA judge for 5 decisions now. He changes his opinion / thought process every time. Quite comical if we weren't dealing with my sanity and $$$$.
  9. Isn't the entire time while the BVA issues a remand considered under appeal? They are just mad because the U.S. Court threw their decisions out :)
  10. Hi Everyone, Here is my question. This stems from a 2008 U.S. Court joint remand on 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005 RO and 2008, 2011, and 2012 BVA denials for higher back ratings. Goes back to the BVA and they remand six items for new exams. July 2013 Hartford RO denies all claims but bumps me up from 10% neurological combined to 40% left leg and 20% right leg. I had an attorney at the time. I know we sent correspondence back but I need to check my records. Not much sleep last night. Anyway BVA finally gets it in July 2014 and makes a decision a week ago. I get it yesterday and my back goes from 20% ortho 2000-2009 to 40% back to 2000. Okay thats good. However, they state in my decision they can not review the neurological aspect because I didn't NOD the ROs 2013 decision for an earlier effective date. My back is the main issue on remand. I didn't NOD the ortho part and they bumped that up. That was denied in the same 2013 RO decision. I thought the whole remand / new exams was for a 10th bite at the apple? I know I can CUE but WTF? Based on my evidence I should have rated minimum 20% for both legs at least back to 2006. Thanks. BTW it's DAV_Marine72. PWD reset not working for me this morning.
