I always understood attorneys either charged 20% or 30%. The difference is the 20% is paid to the lawyer from the VA while the 30% is supposed to be paid by the veteran.

Same thing happened to a friend. He was definitely a 100%. The pay difference is pretty big. He hired these guys to help http://lawyers-veterans-benefits.com. I don't know if its settled yet.
