  1. I was at pending notification and went back to pending of decision. Has this happened to anyone? What could be a reason for this?
  2. If you do not request it in nod they will send you a form asking if you want a dro. I just did the same thing.
  3. I just got approved for 40% disability. My daughter has been attending college. Do I fill out forms for each semester she attended school for my retro pay?
  4. Good news the regional reviewed my claim and I was granted 40%. I have other issues and claims to work but this is a start
  5. Got some good news today. Out in nod and regional office reviewed my denial. I was awarded 40%, thanks for all your advice. Have other claims to work but this is a start
  6. Well I have some good news I was granted 40%. The only problem is they combined fibro and ibs into one claim. Should be 2 different. At least I will be getting something while I deal with that. Finally got a person who understood presumptive. Thanks for all the help and I will keep you guys updated!!
  7. I understand what he is saying. It's unfortunate that I need a nexus when the presumptive does not call for it.
  8. Sorry just had to vent about the va. Thanks for everyone's advice. Will definitely take it all.
  9. I understand what you are saying Asknod but the problem most gulf war veterans are running into isn't the fact we don't have a nexus. It is the raters are not trained properly. To be qualified for presumptive it does not say you need a nexus. presumptive means more likely than not. You need to prove you were in the gulf have medical evidence and be more then 10%. I have given them this. They look in our military records and see were not treated for what we claimed and deny us. Another thing is c&p exam doctors aren't trained and they say it can't be gulf war related because it's been 20 years. The doctors are not trained either. That's why no opinion by the c&p doctor is a good thing. This is why 85% of first time gulf war presumptives get denied because raters do not know what they are doing. I am not going to give up because I have daily reminder with all the pain. Thanks
  10. Then the presumptive is a waiste of time. To get a doctor to say your fibromyalgia or ibs is from Persian gulf is nearly impossible. Your asking them to lie. If the va wants to contribute it to something else then I will have to fight that. The doctor who did the c&p exam did not link it to anything. I understand what you are saying but don't see getting a nexus. I asked my doctors to fill out dbq and both said ok but can't say the war caused it. Not for nothing how can you blame them.
  11. Yes I had all medical records and dbqs and they still denied. The c&p exam was a good one. She just confirmed that I had both. No opinion. Still got denied. All I can do is hope dro is more knowledgeable.
  12. I put in my nod asking for dro review. It is now showing up on ebenifits mobile. Thets see what happens.
  13. I put in the nod asking for dro. It is now showing up on ebenifits mobile.
