  1. Thank you, I pointed out in my rebuttal to the SSOC that they left out 2 favorable BVA decisions for claims that masked mine identically and the omission of a medical paper all included with the form 9 I submitted. Unfortunately at my age I'm most likely not going to see the final decision, but I have made my wife and daughter aware of this site and the steps she can take if the decision comes back denied. One is for a car grant which she won't be entited too the other is for SMC.........Enjoy reading your posts Berta............. Fred
  2. I asked this question a couple of days ago with no reply, will try here. I have a claim going to BVA. Talked to a "Coach" at the RO Friday was told that a claims examiner reviewed claim and would forward it to a DRO for review then send it to BVA. Would this be happening because I challenged the SSOC? A form 9 is in the system. BVA still confusing after all these years.......Your husbands era Berta. Thank you, Fred
  3. Talked to RO today about status of pending BVA claim. To date have received an SOC and an SSOC, responded to both. Was informed that a claims examiner reviewed the files and moved them to a "DRO for "final review" and should be forwarded to BVA by end of month. My question is why does a claims examiner and a DRO have to review the files including the form 9 before forwarding it to BVA ?
