  1. I began my appeal process almost two years ago. I appealed three conditions, PTSD, Left ankle and Migraines from a TBI. All three issues are service connected so I am looking for an increase on those. This past week I got the letter saying they granted my request for a DRO so I guess that is good, at least progress, even though it took a senator to make it happen. Anyways, my main question is can I have the DRO consider something that wasn't in my original appeal? I am service connected for GERD at 10% and at the time of my appeal this seemed adequate, but in the last two years my symptoms have gotten significantly worse (multiple upper GIs, an ER visit for uncontrollable vomiting with blood in the vomit and stool, diagnosis of extreme esophagitis with an ulcer in my esophagus, etc.) Based on what I have read, this degradation to my health should qualify me for an increase, but can or should I have the DRO review this? If I can, will it cause a reset on my clock with the VA causing a significant delay? I appreciate any insight, personal anecdotes or advice in advance, Lucas
