  1. try to get your doctor to nexus it to your diabetes. I feel you should not waste your time with these va doctors because they are not going to do it for you. I tried it for my sleep apnea and they came up with some sorry excuses. I wish you good luck.
  2. read the post I wrote below your post. He wrote my IMO stating that the exsesive weight gained by using medications(cause exssesive weight gain) to treat ptsd aggravated mt apnea. I still have to wait for the official letter from the VA.
  3. I had sleep apnea while i was on active duty but because i never went on sick call for this issue it took me all these years. I went to see my original sleep doctor in the civi world who first diagnosed me with apnea i explained to him that I suffered from ptsd and that the medications that was given to me for ptsd had made me gain over 40 pounds so he wrote an IMO stating that ptsd and the medications to treat ptsd had cause me to gain exsesive weight for which aggravated my sleep apnea. I just got the unofficial letter from the DAV i still have to wait for the va notification stating there side of the story. I will keep you guts in touch once I get the letter from the va.
  4. after 3 years and several months of going back and further with the va I finally got my sleep apnea awarded 50% dating back to may 2006 this B) will put me at the smc rate of M. but on the other hand they stated that the board does not feel that my disabilities are static in nature so I am being scheduled for a future examination in sep. 2011. I am confused when they are reffering to my disabilities not static in nature can somebody explain this to me. I want to thanks all of the people on this site that told me to not quit and persuit my claim. Another victory.
  5. I meant no disrespect towards anybody and if I did I will apologize for it I should of been professional about this and watch what I said. I guess been under so much strees makes people say things that they would have never said. I enjoy been a memeber of this site and I will never say or do anything to hurt anybody on this site after all we are all bound by something and that is being veterans.Babyray I am sorry for taking your topic out of context please accept my apologies and I look foward in chating with you in the future and providing my experiences with the va.
  6. First of all the PH for PTSD was brought up by Gates not me and second you cannot compare having PTSD and deprssion for actual combat experience than having deprssion for not being able to attend a school. I am not trying to put anybody down but it took me years of dealing with demons, alcohol, jail and drug abuse to finally realize what was going on with me. I meant no disrespect to anybody but it really upsets me that there are thousands of veterans dealing with the same issues as I and somebody is trying to get a stressor for depressed because they did not attend a school.
  7. You must be kidding right, this is a joke there are thousands of veterans that are dealing with worst things than that and you are claimming that as depression.I am sorry but since I joined hadit this is the most ridiculous thing I ever read on this site.
  8. No wonder the system is so F**** up, a veterans haves to wait years to get a miserable 10 or 20% but these crookes get bonuses.
  9. so if your taking madications for a sc condition and these medications aggavate a nsc conditions will they service connect you for it.
  10. Just say my doctor that is treating me for OSA, he wrote me a letter stating that the medications that I take for my ptsd have cause me to gain excessive weight which has aggravated my oSA. Will I be able to use this letter to support my OSA secondary to PTSD. Need advice.
  11. It seems that the va in my case is not going by there own regulations when it comes to buddy statements. What regulations can I use to let them know and can I use the competent lay evidence towards my claim.
  12. I had two buddies write statements that they first hand saw my sleep disorder and one of them stated that when we got back he was told that it was sleep apnea. The va said that because there was no diagnose in my medical records denied. If I would have known that this was a sleep disorder I would have gone to see the doctor.
  13. Not trying to sound dumb but can somebody please explain item number #2.
  14. What about if you wear two AFO do you get paid double allowance?
  15. So if ptsd and and the madications I take for its treatment has cause me to gain so much weight that it is aggravating my sleep apnea could that be a nexus.
  16. Have a claim that is going to the BVA I just recieaved from the va a Statement of the case asking if I want to contiunue with the case or I dont. My claim is for sleep apnea I turned in two statements from veterans that were on active duty with me and witnessed my sleep problems but they still went ahead and denied it because there was no medical diagnose of the symtom. My ? is how much does buddy statement carry in a claim.I want to continue but I am to tired and sick to go on. Since I was diagnose with PTSD I have been taken alot of medications for which I have gained 40 pounds and it has affected my sleep apnea, Need some advice.
  17. What if the doctors states that ptsd and its treatment has aggavated you OSA will that work or does it have to state what you mentioned below.

  20. If he got injured by enemy fire he would have been issue a purple heart, I am not an expert but if he does not have documentation that he was in country I belieave is going to be an uphill battle with the va. Remember that when it comes to given money it is the one thing that the Goverment hates to do. Good luck on your husbands claim.

Feel free to get on the web site of texas legislation and type in the bill number and after that go to the bill stages and see for yourself. I hope that I am right in what I saw.
