  1. No it dont, but pension is for veterans who served in the military during times of war that didnt have a medical probably while in service, to get service connected compensantion.
  2. When you request medical records, you have to give the name of the military hospital you was a patient in also the year and month.
  3. Berta is right,it supports a PTSD claim, but need more information
  4. John999,all veterans that is a 100% PT get free dental care at the vamc,it just that CHAMPVA dont offer it to spouse and dependents children
  5. usmc,if you want to keep working,go ahead, really,i am pretty sure if you dont want it va will not give it to you. You dont seem to have a problem ,(not talking about your disabilities) look like you are working the va in reverse.
  6. This just my opinion,if you didnt request IU,VA will not grant you IU.Now that i said that, when you get a rating of 70% or more va is require to send you a unemployability form and if you request IU,you wlll have to prove you are not gainful employable due to your service connected disabilities. mobie16r
  7. Yes matt, the examiner heve to finish his report,he/she will send it to release of information and you should be able to get get your report then. mobie
  8. My guess on a infers claims is when you had a duction in ratings. If you are not gainful employable due to your service connected disabilities, you should qualify for IU under 4.16B eaxtra schedule. mpbie16r
  9. Dontwait go ahead and file for IU
  10. I am a 100% service connected for ptsd, from the vietnam war, and i no there are veterans that served in other wars that will benefit on the new ptsd ruling, but i am defending the vietnam veteran, because i was there and understand most of there problems and at least 95% of the vietnam veterans is suffering from ptsd and cant prove there inservice stressor and they didn't know that they could get help from va and trying to prove something that happen 40+ years ago is hard for the average vietnam vet to do.Ptsd was limited to only to the veterans that have a combat infantryman badge, purple heart, combat action ribbion and any other medal that was recorded on there dd form 214 that was related to combat,in vietnam there was combat everywhere and if you was a cook, clerk, worked in supply, worked in transpotation they probably have a traumatic event that occur to them that cause ptsd, almost every military base, basecamp, outpost or LZ was attacked by the enemy and there was cooks, clerks and every other mos occupping these base and base camps and a lot of these veterans is having a hard time dealing with life today.According to the lastest report about Two million seven hundred thousand veterans served in vietnam and today, there is only eighthundred thousand living and at that rate,by 2015 almost all of us will be gone.So i am for the new ruling on ptsd, even if someone that don't deserve it get service connected for ptsd, some time you got to do for the ones that dont deserve it to help the ones that do. mobie16r
  11. ASK MY WIFE? (LOL) I am praying for you berta, sorry for your lost and also usmc to get what you are due. mobie16r
  12. Gardner, this is my my experience with The BVA.I help this veteran get service connected for ptsd, after he had been denied two times,it was send to the BVA in Washington DC and approved September 2005.BVA dont rate, and it was send back to the regional office for a rating and it was December 2005 when when award letter was received, but this a regional office that have a lot of backlogged claims,so it all depends how backlogged the claims is at your regional office,so dont worry (RIGHT) lay back and relax, you will get it. Hope this helps! mobie16r
  13. You are right about that berta,i understand what you are saying,i had 17 stressor and was rated 30% been when i submitted new medical evidence showing how vietnam effected all phase of my life i was award 100% seven months later, and it its effecting me right now and i am trying to give all the help i can, because ptsd is a ------ ------ mobie16r
  14. carlie,i thank you are a great moderator and i no you have helped a lot of veterans get there do process and you are right about usmc stressor have been vertified by his purple hearts,so that is a moot point, but to get a increase in ratings for ptsd, if he don,t tell the va examiner about his traumatic experiences in vietnam and how it effect him daily in all parts of life,he will not get a higher rating. For a combat veteran to get a higher rating, the only thing va look at is what happen to him in vietnam, that cause his ptsd to elevate. For instant if something happen in his family (someone get killed of injured)and he tell va that's the reason his ptsd worsten,va will used that against him.Quote VA is is only concerned about his combat experiences and how and again how it effect him daily .I no you said that was only your opinion and i no you are appreciate on this site like i said before you help a lot of vetarans.Keep your good work up mobie16r
  15. Just guesing, from what you said he file a claim for his back and knee secondary to ptsd,if this is true the examiner is stating that it is as least as likely as not that his back and knee irritate his ptsd.IF he is service connected for ptsd, you need to file a claim for increase for his ptsd.Just guesing, need more information. mobie16r
  16. Jim just like SgtAFMOB said get all your medical records and send them of take them to your regional office, you really don't want to fax your medical records to the C&P examiner. If you mail them, (make copies just in case they get lost)make sure you get them certified with a return receipt and put your claim number on top of each page. mobie16r
  17. The C&P examiner in my opinion, did a good job in your favor and he/she said that you was unable to do physical of sedentary type of work,in that case you could be rated at 100% and unemployability becomes a moot point, but i see you are rated at 60% and if that 60% is treated as one condition, you could get a unemployability rating, just my opinion, someone else will come along on this site that could explain better. GOOD LUCK! mobie16r
  18. Its all about telling the truth about your symptoms of post traumatic stress dis order, sometimes we don't want no one to no how we really feel and how VIETNAM effected us,but when it comes to trying to get a increase you got to let it all hang out and if you never been to the nam,you will never no. mobie 16r 100% service connected for ptsd since 2003
  19. usmcfigdaddy, first i would like to thank you for your service to your country,i read your C&P report and i really thank you deserve to be 100% precent service connected and i no you don't want to talk about vietnam, but to get what you deserve, you will have to tell va everything what happen to you in the nam, and how it effect you now remember the people that work for the va don't understand what the nam vet went through, you got two purple hearts and i no you went through a lot of hell, forget about your last C&P and and concetrate on nothing but what happen to you in vietnam (with the thousand yard stare) and i no you no where i am comming from and let them no that your medication is not helping you,i am a vietnam veteran and i never wanted to talk about my vietnam experiences until i find out that for me to get help and a increase in compensation i had to tell va everything that happen to me in vietnam and how it effected me.There are three things that you told them that hurt your rating.(1)You didn.t want to talk about your vietnam experiences.(2)You was depressed because your job was shut down.(3)you quick taking your medicine, and all of this was used against you.Just remember that vietnam is your problem and that whats va want to no. I hope this help. mobie16r
  20. Batman i see you was in the 101st AB,so i am specalating that you have a combat infantryman Badge and if you do and been diagnose with PTSD,i beleivie you will get a rating but without knowing the result of your C&P report it will be hard to specalate on the precentage on what your rating will be. mobie
  21. If the C&p examine stated that you was unable to do physical of sendentary work, thats a good sign.Could you paste your C&P report on this site. mobie
  22. VA will only rate you for one mental conditions and everyone you been diagnose with come under Post traumatic stress disorder (ptsd) mobie16r
