  1. Thanks for your reply guys. I have tapered down from 5mg of xanax a day to 1.5mg per day. I am having withdrawals, the VA said they would help me with this but I am still waiting on them to respond. I have an appt with my civilian dr in the morning to see if he can help me.
  2. I had an tens unit implanted in 1995, it worked somewhat. I can only explain it like this, when the pain down the back of my legs was a cutting pain I could turn the tens on and it would change the pain sensation into a burning pain and vise versa. It lasted about 2 months and the leads moved and it had to be taken out. I have seen many get the pumps, more than half of those guys are not among the living, not sure why but they don't live many years after they get one. My civilian doc was trying to force me to get one, thats how I ended up at the VA. Good Luck whichever road you take.
  3. Va dx'd xanax for anxiety and panic attacks since I was taking a narcotic for chronic pain. Va started me on benzo's over 20 years ago. Anyone know what they are prescribing for anxiety and panic attacks while your on narcotics for pain? Thanks!
