I'm currently at 30% service connected for flat feet. It has been noted that i have bilateral hallux valgus.(bunions) I've been issued three different types of orthotic inserts, and none of them help with the bunion pain. I've been out of work for four months because of the fact that long periods of standing/walking are very painful. VA podiatrist recommends surgery. How do i go about filing for secondary conditions? Should i wait until after the surgery to submit this claim?
