I'm a Gulf War Vet from the first Gulf War. I never had any respiratory problems before the war. I started seeing symptoms around 4 years ago. Went to the emergency room a couple of time for shortness of breath and wheezing. They told me I had asthma and gave me an inhaler. I have been to the VA many times complaining of respiratory problems and they say it might be allergies and prescribe nasal spray. On January 6th 2016 I was in a massive car accident so they did a full body CT scan. Numerous problems rose that involves my disabilities which I will probably start a new thread on those. The CT scan revealed paraseptal emphysema. I have never smoked and I'm certain this is from the war. Should I file a claim and what should I expect? Thank you!
