  1. Thanks mike for the info I think that I fit in that same catagory. SFC24
  2. Thanks, Just paranoid that they will charged me for the cpap . Can they do that? I am not sc for it yet but, the dr at the va said I was sc because the travel lady said I needed that to get travel pay to the va! I live 95 miles from the va, i did not know about travel pay until the seceratary said that i did
  3. Mike, What info did they have for your sleep apena? Were you active, what was your nexus?? THanks
  4. what the heck is going on with this site?? I just read and posted a comment and within two minutes people are arging with each other? This is my first post since I was cut down concerning my status at the va because I maybe was put to the front beacuse I was in Iraq? I was afraid to post. You guys are scaring me away along with alot of others I am sure. Yeah I am new but I have read this for over a year with a lot of success. There are a lot of new vets that need you help? I feel as though I am getting low-balled! a brother is a brother is a brother a veteran is a veteran is a veteran
  5. I was medically retired in feb07. 15 years active, 5 years ARNG. I have a line of duty for sleep apena and had a cpap machine approved from tricare. When I retired I called the va and had them set me up with an appointment for a cpap and they saw me and issued me one. I have a claim in for sleep apena and other problems that were cause by my deployment to Iraq. Do you think a LOD, and the machine they gave me will lock me in to 50%? Or can thye take me cpap machine away and make me pay for it.
  6. I fit in this catagory. I was recovering from my sugeries after being medivac out of Iraq. For a over a year I was on lmited duty where I had all of the time on the world to improcess with the va. I was trying to do this so I would not miss any work when I went back to my civilian job after three years. No we need a 214 etc.. I had to take today off without pay to go to white river jct vt(2 hour away) to get an appt. My employer is not happy. Gone three years, medically discharged from the army and he still has appointments making him be away from his job. I saw a shrink today filled out 125 question survey to ask him to refill my ptsd meds. He did not even go over my problems from the survey. Pretty much kicked me out telling me I had to make another appt. I had this med for 2 years from a civ doc and they will not accept that. Bull.. I am shaking gottta go before I really go off...
  7. Thank you for the response of lods. These lods are a result of my recent deployment to IRAQ. None of them we due to misconduct etc... I talked to a va rep and he told me that it is up to the rater if he accepts the lod or not. According to your post it is law? I am a little slow at this va stuff and maybe you have more experience with it. I will ask again, will they accept them?? Sorry for asking again. Remember I am a little slow...
  8. If a soldier has a LOD is it automatically considered service connected with the VA when they do your C&P? Example, I have a LOD for sleep apena and require a cpap. Will it be auto?
