Hello all. I have had terrible anxiety since looking at my claim on ebennies. Claim filed in January ,2016 and it has been in gathering of evidence since March and now shows claim closed.....decision letter sent. My health has declined over the last 32 years since being diagnosed with HTLV3 (HIV before it was given the name) while on active duty in 1985 and has forced me to reach out to the VA for help. Since filing my claim I have been hospitalized, lost my home to foreclosure and now I am homeless and with failing health. I asked my VSR to submit the form to the VA to see if they could expedite due to homelessness in April. The VA has my VSR, STR and hospitalizations showing link from service connection to present. I have, literally, no immunity left and have had opportunistic infections that threaten my life. Sorry for the ramble......so here's my question: Has anyone had their claim progress from gathering evidence to closed and was the disposition favorable? FYI...I was never asked to have a C&P EXAM prior to claim being closed.
