My original post should have said Disability Pay* I now see how it could have been read as getting SMC without any physical disability.

I do understand what SMC is. But I can't find a definitive answer on if you are supposed to get BOTH Disability and SMC.

I am trying to figure out some information. Is it possible to have Special Monthly Compensation WITHOUT Disability pay? I was under the impression that you got both or you just got disability pay, but never SMC by itself.
