  1. I submitted documents on ebenefits and it showed them all under the submitted documents tab. Ebenefits was updated and all the submitted documents disappeared from the submitted documents tab. Should I mail in copies? Also, on my list of disabilities it says I'm appealing rhinitis when I just started that claim. My appeal was for sinusitis. I put eustachian tube dysfunction for a secondary but the VA spelled it "estachian". Should I tell my VSO they may be messing up my claim?
  2. I've had two denials, filled out form 9 and have been waiting 5 years so far on another disability claim. Hopefully it will get to the BVA soon and be finished.
  3. I talked to a therapist at the Vet Center. I had the VA get the records from the Vet Center. It says on ebenefits "PTSD Confirmed, to USASCURR to confirm stressor". So I think they have confirmed my PTSD.
  4. That makes sense, thanks. I sent in the form 9 for the BVA back in may 2015 after the RO denied me the second time. I didn't even want the RO to review it again but they did. So it should be going to the BVA soon I hope.
  5. I sent in the form 9 first from what I remember. The RO decided to make me wait a year to give me a second denial. Now I'm waiting for it to go to the BVA. I originally just wanted it to go to the BVA.
  6. I was afraid if I tell the c&p examiner that I'm having to take special breaks to deal with PTSD that they might try to say I'm unable to work and put me at 100%. I think I would rather try and work and have a lower percentage. I just have to do some yoga breathing every hour or two throughout the day.
  7. I had my denied claim denied a second time at the regional office even though I asked it be sent to the BVA. Now it's been about 450 days since that last denial. I did form 9. The claim was started around 2011.
  8. If you are working but need special breaks to deal with PTSD can you still get 100% rating?
  9. I first made a PTSD claim around year 2003. A year later I got a denial letter for the claim. I didn't send in a NOD. In 2013 I made a claim for a ear disease. The VA sent me the PTSD form. I never mentioned I had PTSD and it had nothing to do with that 2013 claim. I sent the PTSD letter back saying I have gotten somewhat better and didn't want to pursue it at the time. In 2016 I was talking to a VA therapist and she convinced me to reopen my PTSD claim. I did all the necessary paperwork for the PTSD claim and sent it in. Did I mess up my chances at getting a rating for PTSD? The VA did accept the claim. They have confirmed my PTSD from the Vet Center therapist. The claim currently says on ebenefits they are waiting on the stressor confirmation from USASCURR.
  10. Sorry, I meant I can cut the parts out where my name is mentioned and make another video with those parts. It would be hard for them to locate those parts easily since I have a few hours of video. So I could create that one video with it proving I'm in the video and then leave the other original video on the disk.
  11. I have a few hours of video taken while I was doing street patrols overseas. I can cut parts of the video out where the cameraman points at me and mentions my name. Should I add that to my VA claim? My MOS was a 14S combat MOS but wasn't infantry. I was made to do infantry duty most of the time. I'm concerned that the VA might think I was mostly on the base due to my MOS. I have a PTSD claim. I already have the video on a disk they can put into the drive on their computer and watch it. The video is date stamped too.
  12. I just saw on ebenefits and update that says "PTSD diagnosed, confirm stressor, to USASCURR". U.S. Armed Services Center for Unit Records Research (USASCURR). How long does it normally take for USASCURR to confirm a stressor and send it back to the VA? Also I only talked to a licensed clinical social worker/readjustment counselor at my local vet center about my PTSD issues. Does that mean if they find a stressor that I still need to go to a VA Psychologist to confirm my PTSD?
  13. I've heard some people downplay their disability. Some people don't understand all the factors in getting their disability pay for PTSD. That site will help them stay on point and not end up getting denied for a "personality disorder" when they have PTSD. So I think it can be helpful for vets to be honest and stay on the script they need to get the doctor to sign off on their disability. It's easy to get sidetracked and start saying unnecessary things during exams.
  14. I found this site and it gives the insider information needed for a C&P exam. I think it's good to coach yourself with the information before the exam. That way you don't get cheated by downplaying your disabilities. http://www.militarydisabilitymadeeasy.com/vadisabilitychart.html
