  1. Well my latest update. When I initially appealed I was getting 10% Now I have finally seen movement. One disability was rated at 70% with an effective date of jun 2013. I got some other appts too that finally popped up as well. It's a long process dont give up on yourself.
  2. Just wanted to give you all a heads up. I still haven't heard anthing. Its been a little over two weeks since it disappeared. The hot line says it is still open.
  3. Damn sorry to hear that. Itll get better stay faithful tou will make it through it.
  4. One more thing I wanted to add, calling the 800 number is not really much better than checking ebenefits in my opinion. You do have some good people that work their, and will look into things a bit more for you than others, but they seem few and far between. For the most part you will get the same spill from everyone which basically goes "we have your appeal and we are working on it, it will take approximately 190 days, but as i can see you are way beyond that. If we need more information you will hear from us" thats generally the most you will get unless you get lucky, and get a hold of someone who genuinely wants to help. Im not knocking them, and I understand why they are jaded. I know a lot of us have been in the system for a long time and our patience has worn thin, making some vets a little frustrating to deal with. I am always polite, even though I am years beyond that time frame, and I know its not the phone operators fault.
  5. Ive been going through this for over 5 years. I havent had access to my letter for almost a month now. All my appeals, and appeal related info is gone as well. I called the 800 numbet and verified I was not outright denied, all I got was a "its getting worked on, and is still open sir" Dont stress too much, I know it sucks not knowing, but stay positive.
  6. I definitely will, and thank you everyone for the advice. It gets a little nerve wracking when it just disappears after 5 years of dealing with it.
  7. So I have been in the appeal process for around 5 years. All my appointments went as expected, and the docs confirmed i have problems, on each thing I applied for, and they all corresponded to my medical records from the army. Well on wednesday october 25th my appeal magically disappeared from everything except the nod. On disabilities it showed the 2 stacks. One was service connected the other was appeal. Is it good or bad or neutral that it disappeared. I verified that it has not been closed out, but its like pulling teeth to get an answer from them. Thanks for the help.
  8. I dont think it would rate back to the initial claim unless you filed an nod, or anything else required in that time frame.
  9. I have been a long time reader of this group, and its kept my hope up, and shared some happiness knowing others are getting the help they need. Well here is my long story short, i filed for benefits aproximately 12 years after my initial contract, and only 6 years after I was discharged from beimg recalled. I did my paper work, and only claimed issues that truly happened while I was in the Army, and everything corresponded with my medical records. Everything was denied, except tinnitus. Which I was expecting from all the stories I read. So i filed my nod. Fast forward to 6 months ago I finally got to see my first doctors. 3 in one day. Each one agreed it was service related and told me what was written. My appeal moved around for two days it got all the way to notification, and then back to preparation for decision, and no movement since. Well 2 days ago it completely disappeared. Nothing pending. Nothing in va letter, no new disabilities, no pending disabilities just completely gone. So I called the VA and they said it is still open, didnt really say why it wasnt there. Has anyone had this happen to them? If so what was your outcome. Just for additional info depending how things are gauged, but the doctors recommended 50 on item, while i had 4 other serious injuries that they confirmed relation to service. Am I stressing over nothing? Thank you for reading, and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
