  1. It means PTSD with a borderline personality disorder. Search the internet using key words PTSD Unstable. It will explain in more detail. Good Luck!!
  2. Hello again Gunny. I also meant to mention that if you are close to a VA facility, they can usually pull up your C&P report. Just ask for the report by date of C&P, doctor's name, and they should have it in the computer. Once again, best of luck. Semper Fi!!
  3. Hi Gunny. Mine only took twenty minutes or so as well, so it does seem to be the standard. Would be curious as to what your GAF score is. It is usually relevant to your examination. Good Luck Semper Fi !!
  4. Don't know if this is relevant to your question, but I just went thru a C&P for Diabetes, and the doctor told me that hypertension was a by product of the diabetes, and as a result put a claim in for me. If nothing else, maybe some veterans with diabetes and hypertension can use the information. Further, ED and neuropathy of the intenstines is relevant to the diabetes proble and can also be claimed. Good Luck!!!
  5. I had three C&P's in February, they all told me results in 60-90 days. Good Luck!!!
  6. I would recommend you call the 1-800-827-1000 number and ask for the status of your claim. Keep in mind they hardly ever get it right, but every now and then they will. At least you may get a little piece of mind. I would think you could ask them if you are scheduled for a PTSD examination. Good Luck!!!
  7. Do you have diabetes? Neuropathy can cause alot of internal problems. I just found that in my case, it is in the bowel.
  8. I recently put in a claim for P&T after being rated 100% schedular. PTSD and diabetes related disabilities. The correspondence received from the VA states that they were scheduling me for C&P in September 2010 for a P&T rating anyway, but would address the issue at this time. Now I am scheduled for a C&P in February. Anyone ever heard of such a thing?? I am 63, so maybe age??
  9. I have heard that if benefit percentages are reduced, they can not take the benefit while under appeal, and also have heard that the benefit will be taken after 60 days. Can anyone verify either of these statements? Thanks very much.
  10. Hello again Jerr. Now for another good one. They recently changed the unemployable rating to 100% Schedular. But a statement of benefits received afterwards states P&T. I am totally confused, but they have scheduled a Re-Exam for February, so we shall see. Thanks again for your response.
  11. Hi Carlie. I have presented all of the information when filing for P&T. But they have me scheduled for another C&P for PTSD and Diabetes in February. We shall se what happens. Do they ever follow Federal Statute? If so, I have never seen it. Thanks very much for the response.
  12. Hi Jerr. Thanks for the response. I did at one time receive a letter indicating eligibility for CH 35, and also a form to apply for CHAMPVA. When we applied, they said I was not P&T. I have now applied for P&T and have an independant evaluation from a private facility with a GAF of 41 saying that I am unemployable. My doctor at the VA also gives me a GAF of 46 and has indicated in records that I am totally disabled and unemployable. I guess I can only see what happens.
  13. I am wondering if anyone has been through something similar. I was awarded a P&T letter in September of 2007 and another in October of 2007. VA now says that I am not P&T, but I recently received the yearly statement of benefits and it says Permanently and totally disabled from service connected disabilities. I called the 1-800-827-1000 number, and they again state that I am not P&T. I said heck with it, and have applied for P&T based upon recommendation of my VSO. Anyone else ever go through this? Thanks very much.
  14. Hi thanks for the response. I have been SC since 1983, but 70% ptsd since 2002. I also have 40% each for left and right legs, 30% for one larm, and 20% for the other. With parylasis of the sciatic and median nerves. Thanks again.
  15. Hi everyone. I am 100% Schedular at this time and recently attended a ptsd rexamination. Fortunately my benefit stayed the same. My question is doe's anyone have any idea when or if I will have to attend another rexamination? Iam 63 years old now, rated at 70% ptsd, and other diabetes related issues. Thanks very much!!
  16. I was talking to another Marine vetern recently, and he relayed to me that his current doctor for PTSD was, at one time a ratings officer for the VA. This doctor told him that he left and went into the medical profession because he became tired of of other RO's disapproving veterans claims. He went on to say that these RO's received a commission everytime a claim was denied. and thnat they were given a certain percentage to approve and disaprove. If anyone has heard of this, I will be the first to raise hell with my LOCAL
