  1. Thank you all so much for your quick response. I will read the information on the DR. notes and from the other information I have and answer each question asked. You all are a very big help and much appreciated. My sincere thanks to all
  2. Berta, here are some of the answers to the questions asked. no , I'm not a Vietnam Veterans. I don't know what a DMII is. Please let me know and I will answer that as well. No ischemic heart disease. I was told by the neurologist at the VA it was a cerebral infarct. I don't know if that is considered a ischemic brain event. What is a TIA? I believe it was a brain hemorrhage secondary to the TBI, because the neurologist explained it to me that way after reviewing my MRI/CT scan and a test she gave me at the VA. A lot of the lingo she used was way over my head and even after asking for explanation I still left confused. Please excuse me for not understanding all the terms but once I do I will answer the questions. Also, thank you all for taking your time to help out.
  3. Broncovet, the reason why I asked the question is because I had a stroke while "under the knife" for removal of shrapnel from my head (service connected TBI) and I was wondering if I could file a claim for the stroke. I am still in the process of finding a nexus in my medical records. The whole process is confusing and I don't want to mess anything up. My wife is helping me with all of this (typing and getting my thoughts across) and she is my great advocate when it comes to the VA Thank you all for the great information, it truly does help.
  4. where in the 38 CFR schedule for rating disabilities would I find how a cerebral infarction (stroke) is rated?
  5. Thanks for the information Gastone. Yes I have a joint account with my wife. Hello this is Brians wife, I am helping my hubby with this post.

  7. Thank you all for the great information. I will try and scan all pertinent information. I am not to computer literate so this may take a while. Any advise or information will be greatly appreciated
  8. Hello all! this is my first post so here goes.Just a quick question. My PCP filled out my form 21-2680 examination for house bound/ aid and attendance status. What is the next step in the process? On the instruction for the form it gives the option to apply for house bound or aid and attendance, any opinions on which might be better?
