Thank you. For certain conditions that are rated like mental health, I don’t see a doctor for them and it’s been a few years seeing a doctor for them. could this be an issue? I do self therapy with meditation, herbs, etc and so it’s controlled but definitely still there and impairs me going back to my civilian career. Of course i plan on seeing a doctor soon for it (scared now of it messing up my VA) but assuming I will see a doctor soon - has there been any permenant damage to my VA claim for not seeking treatment for years on mental health?

For verifying something and risk being audited from that, or from being reported on ‘no factual grounds’ - how much of this is protected if one’s VA disability is 100% PT and has been 5 years since connected? (5 yr rule)

To confirm once one ETS from reserves their entire history of PHA is uploaded into VHA? in addition, can PHA army provider call VHA to report ‘suspicions’ of someone they did PHA on and has 100%? From what I know PHA just asks for total percentage and disabilities and doesn’t ask for more details. So this could be misleading to some. Especially when some provider soldiers doing PHA might have an opinion on who deserves their VA compensation and who does not

My main concern is civilian or Army provider who does PHA contacting VA due to ‘undeserving’ VA disability. Whether they have logical reasons or not, it can still trigger the VA sleeping bear to awaken and unnecessarily audit right? What are your thoughts? I’ve been documenting all disabilities and medications on my PHA for years (no change in PHA) but always do it with a civilian provider. Now I must do it with an Army provider. What are your thoughts? It’s been 5 years since my VA claim was connected.

Hi All, Does current or future changes on how VA rates disabilities apply to ratings previously granted to us? For example I have a 30% disability rating for GERD due to certain guidelines of symptoms. If VA says one day, 'let's change these guidelines so whoever has the 30% symptoms will now be granted 20%'. Does something like this apply to ratings already given to service members, or only claims moving forward?

I live in Texas where property tax is public record unfortunately. Are there ways around this such as creating an LLC and putting the house under the LLC? How do celebrities and rich people do it where public can't search 'where they live' by searching for their name in the county property search records?

Hello, sorry I am unsure where to post this. I have a disabled rating %, and with my property tax exemption with my county the Public record shows exactly what it is. For example it may show DV60 publically. And a simple search of the glossary anyone can see 'Disabled Veteran 60%'. I do not want anyone to know about my disabilty rating. How can I pull this down or make private??

Hello again. This is my thought process with a vasectomy and not using Tricare and paying cash so it is not linked to VA though Tricare. -If one day VA decides to look at my mental health rating, they may see “hey let’s pull all of his medical records from exiting the army to current day and dig through it to see if it can lower his depression rating. Then after looking through all my medical records (since they can see it through Tricare), they see the vasectomy and question my depression. I’m more concerned with VA digging through my medical history (after army to current day). Is this accurate or just way off?

Very good advice thank you. Can they obtain documents such as decision letters for each disability? Do they ever report things to the VA? For example, if I have a rating for anxiety but is controlled by medications and then the county VSO sees me as 'normal' when I am on meds...can he/she message the VA and say something like "I believe this veteran to not have anxiety in my opinion from my interaction"

Do you mean when the VA tried to bill private medical insurance or Tricare for medical procedures? Or do you mean if I have SC GERD, go to my civilian PCP through private insurance and get seen for GERD, then the VA will track that since my GERD is supposed to be seen at the VA?

I thought I replied but guess it didn’t go thru. What about disability thru private insurance? I had a bad injury recently (broken parts) and was out of work but did not claim it in fear of any cross communication between insurance company (Mass Mutual) and VA. Then VA would think I’m double dipping or something ridiculous

I think there was a new law passed in 2020 or 2021 that allows it to pass? I am not 100% sure since my wife is doing most of it through a lender. Should I be concerned that the VA sees this big home loan and decides to reopen my VA Disability file because they think I am making a lot of money? I am not worried about my home loan entitlements and am very worried about the VA reopening my disability file due to a large home loan like this... (very paranoid)

Not sure where to put this question. Simply put, can a $2 Million dollar VA Home loan FLAG one's VA 100% Disability rating? Background: I work 1 day per week due to disability. My wife owns her own business and makes a lot of $ and that is how we can afford a home like this.

If a veteran had a private insurance like Aetna, would the VA know this? I can see how they would know if a veteran had Tricare since that's connected with the VA. I have not been to any medical doctor since my C&P exams. Is this red flag or has no importance when the VA happens to audit my P&T 100% rating? Also, how often or routinely are these P&T audited? If there is no additional claims made (I have no intention of making another claim), does anything else trigger VA to look into a P&T veteran's file? Along with my MH, I am extremely OCD and paranoid Thank you.
