  1. Thanks Richard1954 and broncovet. I will research the state benefits.
  2. Well....I was awarded P&T. But I think the C&P exam wasn't much help after I read over the results. I did submitted two DBQs from my private doctor as well and I think that did it. All in all it was a success. I am grateful and this will help me and my family out a lot.
  3. I was awarded P&T!! I was 100% but not P&T. I submitted updated medical documents and DBQs and was awarded. I just need to figure what come with that in Northern VA. Thanks for all the insight. I will remain vigilant on this form to help other Vets as I was helped.
  4. Thanks Vetquest, The exam was quick as normal. He as me a few question and I did two shoulder test and some questions about my wrist. He said, Sir you are done and I have to do my part now. I should have some results in 60 to 90 days. The waiting game begins now.
  5. I have a C&P exam in two weeks. I am having surgery on one of my shoulders in June. This is exam is for a revaluation/increase. I hope to get my shoulders in a static status. 1. Should I mention I am having surgery in the C&P exam? 2. Can I bring my wife with me in the exam room? 3. Can I submit a DBQ from my private doctor prior to my C&P exam? 4. What to expect in this exam? I never have anything positive happen to me from the VA hospital in DC. Thanks for any advice
  6. I just received my C-File yesterday. All my claims are static (Major Depression, Right Knee Right Wrist and Right shoulders) except two of them (Left shoulders and Left wrists). I have a reval in April 2019 for my shoulders and wrist in 2020. Should I submit for an increase (PT) since my reval is close? I was told they will look at everything and I have current medical for records for all my claims (static and non-static). Should I submit all my records or just the ones that I am trying to increase and for ED? Thanks for all responses.
  7. Hello All, I have a question...I am 100% not P&T since last July. I have a revaluation in April 2019 for my shoulders and another revaluation in August 2020 for both wrists (Carpal Tunnel). I have medical documentations from my Drs....stating my conditions has worsen and permanent in nature (shoulders and wrist). The fact that I will ask for increase for the before mention medical issues since I am getting a revaluation. During that time to make sure that I am a successful, I have two letters from my PSYD and Psychiatrist and updated DBQ showing that MDD/Anxiety has worsen and also permanent in nature. I am 70% MDD now. I am not asking for an increase in MDD but my DBQ shows all the checkmarks for a higher rating. I am adding my Mental Medical in as well since the VA will check my complete file anyways. Is this a good idea to get this over all at once if possible. Thanks in advance.
  8. I think 70% due to he/she checked this box. [X] Occupational and social impairment with deficiencies in most areas, such as work, school, family relations, judgment, thinking and/or mood
  9. Awesome...Congratulations! I hope one day my 100% turn into 100% P&T.
  10. Thanks to Everyone responses. This helps a lot. I will definitely remain in treatment.
  11. I am rated at 70% for MDD/Anxiety. How often do you visit your PSYD/Psychiatrist? I was going every two weeks but now it monthly. The meds help some but have some negative affects (weight gain, ED). Still trying to find the right combo. I don't want my percentage to be affected by lesser visits. Can the VA decrease my percentage if I started going monthly instead of bi-weekly? Thanks for any inputs.
  12. I submit a claim for Tinnitus and a reconsideration for MDD/Anxiety. I look on ebenefits and my claim is at Pending decision Approval. I thought that I would have to got to a C&P exam for a decision on mental health or this is another denial, since its in for pending decision without a C&P exam. Have anyone has any experience in reconsideration.
  13. Berta, I have filed for MH (MDD/Anxiety) as direct and it was denied in the later part of last year... VSO submitted incorrectly as direct and not secondary. I want to file MDD/Anxiety secondary to my SC bilateral shoulders, knee and both wrists. From what I read from many other Vets...I should be able to file MDD/Anxiety as secondary to my already SC disabilities. I never filed for PTSD. This VSO puzzle me when he said I couldn't file secondary due to joint pains and I am service connected for it. It stated in my PSYD letter that is due SC. Would the VA look at the letter and my DBQ and see that it's secondary or it cause by SC ailments over the years.
  14. Broncovet, I think I get what you saying. Can I call the 1800 and request the change to secondary. Oh i might have left this out....My last VSO submitted my MDD/Anxiety as direct connection as well and I got denied because nothing in my military record. If you notice my in my PSYD letter she stated reconsideration. I don't want to call 1800 and cancel it because we submitted for tinnitus as well in the same claim and I already have a C&P exam schedule for 6/11/18 for tinnitus. I just need to know my next move.
  15. That what I thought. So I am not mistaken? Did you read my attached letter and did you get what I was understanding?
  16. I am confuse.... Me: Hey Sir,I just wanted make sure the claim that we just recently submitted is secondary to my service connected disabilities. I was never seen in the military for depression or anxiety. Can we please make a note that my depression and anxiety is secondary. VSO Response: Mr. ReedI have reviewed your currently rated disabilities and you can't submit thecontentions as secondary to one of your currently rated disabilities for thefollowing reason:- Your currently rated disabilities are all joints or hands and your claimis for mental issues- You have to provide medical evidence showing the contentions on your claimare secondary to a currently diagnosed disability. My PSYD letter in support of my claim is attached. She also state most statements in her DBQ that she did for me.
  17. Sorry for late response. I had so many Drs. appt recently. I choose to stay with my PSYD and Psychiatrist. I have a letter. I wish her letter and DBQ will dot all eyes and cross all T's.
  18. Gastone, I do have some medical evidence now just haven't gone to my Ortho office to request a copies. I am in PT 2X week now. I do have a schedule surgery later this summer (July) for my right knee first and left knee to follow later. I have some SC that was static but now they want future exams (in SOC) due to my one of my Doc notes. but they did not reduce my percentage but now I have a review. I going back so he can strengthen his notes. My left knee (secondary) to right knee was denied. I am going to put in new claims for MDD/Anxiety secondary to my SC ailments and tinnitus. I have a good letter from my PSYD and see her 2 to 3 times a month and thinking of getting IMO/IME. Still deciding if I need one.
  19. Thanks Broncovet! I will do just that. Few Questions.... Can I submit additional evidence? Can I go in the RAMP program after I fill out the I9 within 60 days? Can I have my VSO submit the form and is it safe and faster that way?
