  1. Buck, thanks for your input I already have Nephropathy I did get a rating for it. I was just hoping to get it S.C. as i feel i was aggravated while on AD. But it seems like it will be a hard fight and i am worried about them changing any other ratings. It is just weird as all my other claims all got SC many 0% but at least SC. Thank you all for the input Jim
  2. I am only 40. I do have many Xrays and Chiropractic diagnosis saying INTER-VERTEBRAL DISC DEGENERATION. The issue i think is one XRay states "There is some relative loss of height of the disk at L5-S1 which could be developmental or could be degenerative. IMPRESSION: Mild narrowing L5-S1 interspace, could be developmental. Could not exclude early disk degeneration. Otherwise, negative." The VA listed it as Congenital Scoliosis non Service connected.
  3. Oh wow Gastone you ask some good quesitons and i don't know the answer to some. I just retired in March my ratings were just made effective 1 april 2018. I am not CSC or IU. Do not i Know what SMC-S? I know they are paying for SMC-K that was in my packet. I got this in my benefit summary: VA Benefit Information Summary of benefit information You have one or more service-connected disabilities: Yes Your combined service-connected evaluation is: 100% Your current monthly award amount is: $3449.09 The effective date of the last change to your current award was: April 01, 2018 You are considered to be totally and permanently disabled due solely to yourservice-connected disabilities: Yes You are in receipt of special monthly compensation due to the type and severityof your service-connected disabilities: Yes This total disability is considered permanent. You are not scheduled for future examinations I don't believe any of my ratings would change. I am not looking for a back to be a big jump in Compensition, I am over 100% with eveything esle. To me it is more to get it Service Connected in case of future issues.
  4. Thank you all for the responses. I think the issue I have is on one xray the doctor said the finding could be developmental. So i think the VA looked at that as a congenital defect. I do have other Xrays and MRI that use the term disc degeneration and no mention of a developmental condition. I worry about possibly needing back surgery to correct it and having to pay out of pock that could be expensive. Again thanks for your guy's input. Jim
  5. I am currently rated at 100% total and permanent. I have a back claim that was rated as non-service connected. I am curious if i could pursue this to get it service connected? I am sure it was injured on active duty. Yet since i am 100% total and permanent is there any reason to pursue. I am only worried that if some day the VA says oh sorry we miss rated this issue and i am no longer 100%. Thank you Jim
