Was finally able to log into EBenefits. Appears that while they are still working on a couple of issues, I have been rated. That brings up another question. A few years ago I thought I read that if you were rated high enough to receive concurrent receipt, your actual retirement pay would be reduced to 75% (30 Years) if you were receiving more than that. I served for just over 37 years and am currently receiving 92.5%. In my case, if this was true I would have a 18% reduction in my retirement. Hoping I misread this. Anyone know if this is the case. Thanks Bronco! Trying to figure out what the amount might mean. I won't get to my mail until next week as I am waiting for Hurricane Florence to move on. I believe I read that when the VA pays retroactive, they pay Veteran only and not for spouse. When I do the math for that amount, it is within 50 dollars of what would be expected for 100% for 10 months. While I do have many injuries, I did not expect them to award 100% out of the gate. Will advise on results when I get them. AF

Greetings, Thanks in advance for any assistance to my inquiry. I retired on September 30, 2017 and started my claim process in March of this year. On September 6th, I received a (very surprising) check from VACP for $29,680.29. I am currently away from home travelling and only noticed this deposit yesterday. I attempted to log on to EBenefits with no joy. I called the VA. They only said that my claim was not completed yet and they had sent a letter explaining situation. (I have not seen this letter yet) They explained that they could not discuss on the phone and I needed to read the letter. Estimated completion date for my claim is 25 August 2019. Is this a normal procedure? Does anyone have any insight into what is going on? Can I make any assumptions on what I have been rated at? Everything related to the VA claim process is new to me.
