  1. I filed my initial claim 11/08/18 with the wounded warrior fast track... 5 months later the My social Security website is still saying: Disability Determination PendingThe Disability Determination Service for your state is processing the medical portion of your benefit application. If they need additional information or evidence from you, they will contact you directly. When I call the SS office they tell me the same thing. Pending. I see most people get a decision in 30-90 days. I called the DDS a couple of times and they said pending as well. I was also advised not to call DDS too often. Just wondering if it taking this long is common. Thanks
  2. I guess I was lucky, or because it was election year. I called my congressman early October after waiting 120 days for the VA to acknowledge my claim had been submitted. Got rated 100% P&T on Nov 2nd. The Congressman's rep was awesome, emailed me every week to check on me and checked on my status with the VARO weekly. My retro pay got deposited today.
  3. This was the Congressman's response. You will be scheduled for a private examination soon and will be advised by letter in the mail. Please let me know if you do not receive notification of your exam soon. We will continue to keep your case open to follow up on our end after the exam has been completed.
  4. So my VSO had sent my increase claim through email 3 times to the VRO and they said they didn't have it. VSO said they sent it and to wait...120 days later I physically mailed it and called my congressman. My VSO said that was stupid and the VA being the 2nd largest govt institution doesn't like being told how to operate their business and it might have a negative impact. I also tried to get a letter stating when they emailed the claim from the VSO and they would not give me one. Anyway since involving my Congressman the VRO has the claim and I am currently going to CnP appointments. I was surprised by this reaction from my VSO and was wondering if there is any truth to it. I've been stewing about his reaction for a couple of weeks so I figured I would ask before I get an ulcer. Thanks
  5. They changed it. On October 1st it was Intent to file then on Oct 3rd it was under review Oct 5th it was changed to "Gathering Evidence" and the Disabilities Claimed changed to: Disabilities Claimed: Acquired psychiatric disorder to include mental health condition such as major depressive disorder (Increase), Scarring left foot (Increase), Tinnitus (Increase), Hearing Loss (Increase)
  6. I am currently rated 50% for Major Depressive disorder 10% Scarring 10%Tinnitus 0% Hearing loss These ratings were done in 2002 and are all service connected. I filed for an increase July 10th Through the DAV based on my depression getting worse and my VA psych said it is treatment resistant. On this claim I stated how the Depression has worsened and the negative impact on my life in the box on the 21-4138 pg 1 This is what the update today says on ebene's Under Review Disabilities Claimed: Acquired psychiatric disorder to include mental health condition such as major depressive disorder (Secondary), Scarring left foot (Increase), Tinnitus (Increase), Hearing Loss (Increase) Can treatment resistant major depressive disorder be secondary to major depressive disorder?
