Bringing up pain not being claimed for exam

Good Afternoon, I just had a quick question regarding the exam. I am being examined over a deviated septum. I am however, having knee pain which includes swelling and stiffness. I got out a year and a half ago and had occurrences of this same pain but I did not get it documented. I served in the Marine Corps infantry so it was frowned upon to go to medical. My question is can and should I bring up the knee pain and is there anyway I can receive a percentage if I don't have any evidence for the knee pain? Thank you, Michael
