  1. Thank you everyone for all the advice and help. As some of you know, I submitted a supplemental claim for anxiety secondary to tinnitus. That claim was granted today and i got 70%. I'm going to leave up all my posts incase anyone goggles the same issue i had and wants to submit a similar claim. I'm also going to stick around here and help fellow veterans with any questions. The only other questions I have right now is in regards to effective dates. My ebenefits under disabilities has an effective date of one day after i got out of the military in 2017. However, the benefits summary letter generator says my disabilities have an effective date of dec 1 2018. Which do i go by? thank you all again!
  2. I didn't opt in for anything. My supplemental claim was filed with new evidence in May. I understand you don't know it will be complete. I was just wondering what final review meant, really.
  3. Good afternoon everyone, On thursday I called the VA and found out my claim is in final review. Does anyone know where this falls along the timeline of being complete? Thank you Mover
  4. Some odd details you went into there but nevertheless, I got a copy of my exam by going to MyHealthVet. I could do this because my exam was through the VA. I don't think you are able because its a contract exam and you would need to file a FOIA.
  5. Thanks for the reply, Geeky I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens or if i'm "Lowballed". I hope i'll know soon
  6. Thanks for the reply, Buck. I sure hope you're right in your assessment of my rating!
  7. Yes I'm referring to my C&P Examiner. These are all the symptoms he checked as well: X] Depressed mood [X] Anxiety [X] Panic attacks more than once a week [X] Chronic sleep impairment [X] Mild memory loss, such as forgetting names, directions or recent events [X] Impaired judgment [X] Impaired abstract thinking [X] Disturbances of motivation and mood [X] Difficulty in establishing and maintaining effective work and social relationships [X] Difficulty in adapting to stressful circumstances, including work or a worklike setting [X] Inability to establish and maintain effective relationships [X] Suicidal ideation Okay thank you for letting me know.
  8. Morning all, I've read my c&p and apparently (according to you all) it is favorable. On box 3A my doctor checked "Occupational and Social impairment with reduced reliability and productivity". Along with checking symptoms that are in both the 70 and 50% categories as well as one symptom in the 30% category. My question is will the rater simply see which box is checked in 3A and give me a rating based on that?
  9. Thank you for the reply. Do you have any guesses as to which I'll be rated? I'm guessing 50%
  10. Thanks for the reply, I understand the box 3a normally is associated with the rating but I have quite a few symptoms that belong to the 70% range, is there a chance they could rate me 70?
  11. Good morning everyone, I had my c&p exam for "Anxiety secondary to tinnitus" and I think it is favorable. If you all dont mind helping me decipher what my rating might be? Thanks everyone Box 3a Occupational and Social Impairment [X] Occupational and social impairment with reduced reliability and productivity Box 3 X] Depressed mood [X] Anxiety [X] Panic attacks more than once a week [X] Chronic sleep impairment [X] Mild memory loss, such as forgetting names, directions or recent events [X] Impaired judgment [X] Impaired abstract thinking [X] Disturbances of motivation and mood [X] Difficulty in establishing and maintaining effective work and social relationships [X] Difficulty in adapting to stressful circumstances, including work or a worklike setting [X] Inability to establish and maintain effective relationships [X] Suicidal ideation REMARKS - Indicate type of exam for which opinion has been requested: Mental Disorders TYPE OF MEDICAL OPINION PROVIDED: [ MEDICAL OPINION FOR SECONDARY SERVICE CONNECTION ] a. His interview today clearly highlights his preoccupation and distress over his tinnitus and his fears he will continue to always experience "ringing in his ears," which he connects to his Panic attacks, anxiety and depressed mood.
  12. Thanks for the advice guys. Guess i just dont wanna mess this up
  13. Hey all, My C&P for anxiety is in a couple days from now at the VA. I specified anxiety secondary to tinnitus as some of you know. I have made up a list of symptoms i have and how they affect my daily life socially and with work. I was just wondering if anyone had any last minute tips for me as i am quite nervous Thanks everyone
  14. Thank you for the information, GB. Unfortunately, I don't have anyone to take so i'm in this alone. I have a private diagnosis, a nexus letter, and a personal statement. you suggest I bring those along? this is a MH C&P btw.
